DD uses sticks because he doesn't kill, and guns(and blades) are an inherently lethal weapon. Even if you're just aiming to wound(which is easier said than done), there's always the risk of a bullet narrowly missing and hitting some bystander across the street or whatever. Wolverine actually has used guns, but beyond that, Wolverine isn't usually working on some master plan that his entire fucking organization is based around achieving, so he can afford to use what he likes, and since he's essentially invincible, the "risk" of using the claws is pretty much non-existent anyway.
The same question does apply to Elektra, and her choice of the sais is just as dumb as the Hand using archaic weapons and REPEATEDLY getting their master plan foiled because of it. I mean, think about it-they send a ninja in to kill Matt in his apartment. The ninja shoots him with an arrow, and so wounded, he proceeds to turn around and kick the ninja's ass, followed by Elektra slitting his throat. If they had just positioned a sniper with a rifle in or on one of the nearby buildings, they coulda put a bullet into him whenever he walked past the window, with no risk whatsoever. And unlike he was doing with the arrows, he'd be a lot harder pressed to catch bullets or knock them out of the air.
Matt could just run around with a stun or tranquilizer gun if he wanted to be non-lethal. The ninjas could just demolish Matt's entire building with C4. It has nothing to do with logic - Matt uses sticks, Elektra uses sais and ninjas use swords and bows because it looks cooler than everyone running around with guns. These are comic book characters after all, I don't watch comic book movies/shows to see realistic fights/weapons. BvS changed Batman to be more realistic and use guns, how's that working out for them?

punisher was fucking AWESOME
Single shot weapons with slow reload times and non-instantaneous effects? Tranqs take time to react, a person who's been tranqued can still pull a trigger(see for example, Punisher being injected with a tranq, and then still killing 3 dudes before it took effect), and with a stun gun, you have to actually hold down the trigger long enough for the voltage to take effect. Look at the real world, when the cops taser someone, there's always other cops on hand to maintain control if the suspect doesn't go down immediately. And vets who tranq animals do it from long distance, with a rifle, and aren't planning on knocking out a whole herd. Neither stun guns nor tranquilizers are weapons for combat with multiple targets.
As for blowing up Matt's building with C4, blowing up an inhabited building in a big city tends to draw a LOT of attention, since, it's, you know, an act of terrorism, which would not only get the cops after you, but the FBI, NSA, Homeland Security...
Haven't seen BvS, but since it opened with like $170 million, I'd say it's off to a good start?
Episode 11.
Why is it so surprising that
people come back from the dead when NY had an alien invasion, gods of thunder, rampaging green beasts and there's a dude in funky armor flying around fighting terrorists with weapons that should not exist?

Dude, I think Tony Stark, Alien Invasions and the Hulk would be all over the news.
How far can you really go with the character, though? I mean, I've liked the comics of him I've read, but mostly they're just murderporn. He shows up, kills a bunch of people, maybe gets his ass kicked a little in the process, and then he kills everyone who's left, often in some gruesome fashion. And that's pretty much it. The rest is just set-up to make you feel good about it when he punches some mutilated mob boss through a skyrise window in the final issue.
The only times he's really interesting is when he clashes with other heroes, as was the case in DD.
"Quack, quack, Mr. Bond."
And that somehow makes people think "NAW DEATH CAN BE TEMPORARY!" No, people have different perspectives and for you to assume people wouldn't be shocked about people coming back to life. Yeah this is a comic book based universe, but to the people in it. It's just a regular world but a bit more fantasy like.

My thoughts as well. A very solid season, though the last episode felt kinda weak. Nobu just didn't do it for me, the last fight felt rather anti-climatic and dull. The biker fight scene and Punisher's prison slaughter were better choreographed IMO. Season 1's last episode felt like 10x stronger.
Finished it. I don't get how people say S1 was better.
Apart from Fisk ( and I like him as the ruthless crime boss much more, hence I liked him more in S2 ) Season 1 didn't have anything over this.
S2 had more Stick, Punisher, less drama and more action. I expected to hate Elektra but I loved her and Matt and I hope they end up together :'(
Yeah, I know people NOW who both believe in gods, AND believe in aliens, and if I tried hard I could probably get some of them to admit believing the possibility of a giant monster living in Loch Ness or the jungles of Africa somewhere but if I go tell them there's some group resurrecting the dead they'd still be pretty skeptical.
Yeah, Jessica annoyed me in True Blood as well. She annoys me now as Karen too.
