Who are we?

Claymore is a relatively young guild created during Siege of Orgrimmar out of two unfortunately dying guilds that merged their best players into a mythic guild dedicated to progressing the current top-tier mythic raids.
A lot of our core raiders come from top 100 guilds in the past that have either disbanded or gone casual for past tiers/expansions but still wish to progress in a less stressful environment. We were rank 1 Horde during Siege of Orgrimmar and are currently rank 2 Horde.
We are by no means a hardcore or even semi-hardcore guild by most top 100 guild's standards, but we still care greatly for personal performance, and will not tolerate anyone doing less than their potential for their given class and spec.

Raid Times
We currently raid 4 days a week; Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. 19.30-23.00 each night. It's unlikely that we will overrun the raid, unless we feel a kill is very close or extra effort is needed on a boss.

Recruitment
Of course we consider ALL exceptional applications from dedicated players, and anyone who believes they can live up to the expectations of the role officers are more than welcome to join the fun. However, we are currently in need of certain classes, and these classes may have a higher chance of being accepted as a trial:

Deathknight (DD)
Rogue
Paladin (Protection with decent off-spec)

Loot System
The system we use to distribute loot is basically loot council.
Although the loot council system has received criticism in the past, you will hear of no one in the guild complaining of loot being distributed unfairly.
The factors that determine your chances of receiving loot include:

1. Attendance (Maintaining a solid 80% attendance is key. Spreadsheets are kept)
2. Performance (Deaths to avoidable damage as well as DPS and HPS during boss encounters will be monitored closely, as well as logs on Warcraftlogs).
3. Upgrades (A 690 slot is more likely to go to someone with a 645 slot than someone who already has 680)
4. Upgrades 2. Someone who has received 4 upgrades during a raid week is less likely to get further upgrades over someone who has recieved 2 upgrades for the same week.

These three factors are considered for each player after each and every boss kill by the loot council (Guild master, Raid leader, Role officers).
