After 10 years, are you for or against complete Race/Class unlocks?
Yes - I want new lore.
No - Stop trashing the lore.
Maybe - Only if it makes sense in lore.
Other/Don't Care - Explained below.
After 10 years, are you for or against complete Race/Class unlocks?
I'd say no to only a few tauren/draeneI warlock and undead paladins, but I could see other combinations easily like troll paladins, blood elf druids, Gnome Hunters draenei rogues.
Support paladin, shaman and druid classes open to more races, but the other classes have plenty of choices.
I still don't think I'd be for that, though I do feel like they can definitely open up a few more options for various races. Maybe 1-2 per race? I think the only one that wouldn't need this is Troll, which has all specs but Paladins (we could justify giving them Paladins without too much trouble, mind you).
I think the problem is people don't know their lore to begin with even though they claim to be lore nuts. Most class / race combos have no lore driven reason for them not to exist.
For instance draenei warlocks and undead paladins have nothing stopping them from existing in the lore, yet people are convinced they shouldn't exist.
I always find it odd that people think that all these races would congregate and no one would ever think to branch out from their own culture.
If I could become a Pandaren Paladin I would resub tomorrow
human druid please <3 make me more OP
i Voted yes simply because i want the class/race restrictions lifted, i don't care shit about the lore, or it makes sense. I just want to be able to pick my race and class as i want.
I'm sure draenei warlocks exist but didn't they all side with Sargeras/Kil'jaeden/Archimonde? In other words, they stayed eredar.
Yeah there's probably like a handful who are undercover among the draenei, like Sorcrethar in SMV, but there's so few that they couldn't justifiably be a playable class with trainers in the capital cities etc. It wouldn't make sense.
"Yes we've spent thousands of years fleeing the Legion and their repellant demon hordes. Now let's study demons and wallow in fel for a bit."
Don't really care but I'd still veto certain class/race combos.
Dreanei warlocks could work.
Orc priest could work.
Undead paladin would be interesting, but lore wise the light burns them when ever they use it, and there is no "shadow" in the paladin class.
I think everyone wants to see Gnome hunters.
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."
Agreed. Genetically, the Draenei are capable of using Fel energy. It's not like the energy would kill them. The Man'ari have been warlocks for millenia, and their only difference is a red hue in their skin. Just like Undead Paladins. If the forsaken could raise every other class, and the Blood Elves could teach them how to bend the light to their own will, just like Forsaken Holy Priests, an Undead Paladin like Sir Zeliek is an absolute possibility.
I chose Other/Don't care, because I'd love any race being able to play any class, but I wouldn't exactly need lore to back it all up. I understand the convenience of gameplay changes and QoL changes, and not everything needs to be explained or fit into 15 years of lore, or retcon'd etc.
I don't give a flying fartsicle what the explanation is behind a Draenei Rogue. Maybe they use fairy dust on their hooves, maybe they tip toe with slippers on, I don't care. I just want to play one.

Yes. The lore can suck it.
I want all race/class combos unlocked, but i dont give a shit about lore.
I just want my Goblin Pally, Druid, and Monk.
