    Need a 800$ build

Hi I'm building a new pc for my friend since his old computer died finally.
    Budget 800$
Games / Settings Desired: looking to play WoW, heros of the storm and battlefield 4
    Country: USA
Parts that can be reused: I have my old ASUS GTX650TIB-DC2OC-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST 2GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card , http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...tem=14-121-728. But I can change it if needed but mainly looking to use it for now if I can then upgrading to a better graphics card when I have more money.
Do you need an OS? I have windows 7
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? Have everything needed

Forgot to mention my friend said if it helps he doesn't need an SSD he will just buy one later on

650ti boost is still a really good card for 1080p gaming, only a few select games you wont be able to play maxxed out (crysis 3 etc). I dont have time atm to do a build just wanted to get that in

Surely someone else can suggest you a build with that budget, ill check later when i got time.

Why buy a GPU when you dont need to tho it takes a massive chunk out of the budget. I think most people dont realize what a gtx 650 ti BOOST is, its more like a gtx 660 light than it is a gtx 650ti plus. In fact its faster than the gtx 750ti which is a solid entry level 1080p card.

    And why include a 4690k with a b85 board?

This should do and you can sell the 650ti Boost and possibly get an SSD.

Keep the GPU, and have 120 bucks left for an SSD/Gaming keyboard or mouse/monitor or whatever. No reason to upgrade a gtx 650 ti boost, its perfectly fine for a couple more years at least.

When did it become normal to recommend $300+ gpu's for world of warcraft / blizzard titles ? This forum is off its rocker lately.

    BF4 recommended spec's are a 660

970 is a great card and a waste of money for op.

    960
    285
    280/x
    270x
    290

    all more reasonable options

That all depends on 'futureproofing'. I'd recommend the GTX960, personally, as a high-quality 1080p card, but the GTX970 isn't that much more for a considerable boost further down the line.

If people want the best for $800 why restrict them to slower graphic cards? BTW 290 is $240, just saying. If I had known I would have chosen that over the 970. But when it comes to building someone a gaming PC you shouldn't assume the only titles they'll play are Blizzard titles only.

Someone should make a pre-built PC with a G3258 and 750 Ti and call it the Blizzard good enough Box edition. Cause that's all you really need to play Blizzard games on Ultra.

IMO, not just WoW/Blizz titles. If all you are looking at is gaming on a single Monitor at 1080p a GTX960 is already more than enough. If you are on a budget of under $1000 your not going for more that a single monitor at 1080p.

Duke took what I said and assumed I thought op "only plays blizzard games" not the case. You dont need a 970 to max out BF4.

What I said was a generalization about people. For example today Gobgoon wants to play WoW but tomorrow he may want to play HL3. That's what I meant when I said get the best possible hardware for the price. A 750 Ti is overkill for playing WoW. A 970 would be like overkill that's beating a dead horse. Does that mean he should get a 750 Ti? If he's going to spend $800 then a 970 is an option. Otherwise get a G3258 with a 750 Ti. Done.
