Google Books is completely messy with previews, it looks the number of preview pages to the IP and blocks VPN. The english Google Books works for me but the swedish version, that has also the english preview, doesn't. And there are more preview pages on the swedish version...

I have the feeling that Christie Golden was at least one time involved with the movie script writing process. The characterization in the novel is exactly like her past works. Durotan is her Durotan, Draka is her Draka, Orgrim is her Orgrim and so forth. Even the humans are well written.

I found Blackhand's depiction very faithful as well. Self-centered, ambitious and authoritarian but ultimately a pawn of Gul'dan himself, like any other.

About the book : I just read the preview pages and from what I could tell Stormwind does indeed not fall. Which I think is such a missed opportunity and pretty much a guarantee that Warcraft fans will shit all over this movie. What a betrayal to the lore and to the fans. It could have worked out so well imho. 15 more minutes to show the attack, get overrun because the entire army is already dead, leave on ships, sad lothar on boat looking towards the burning city, end with some sad song / hymn. Damn. I hope the general audience will like it because a lot of fans are gonna be pissed off at this.

The preview doesn't show us the end. For all we know, the attack could happen precisely when the Khadgar is talking with Varian.

Or it happens at the beginning of the second movie, kicking off the Second War as a completely different event.

I'd personally like the cliffhanger more, but this would be safer, if a bit generic.

That was my theory awhile back that I had with a friend, we figured it would make more sense for the 2nd movie that it could build up the rivalry between Ogrim & Lothar than allow Turalyon to come in the picture.

Durotan is in a cage. He's looking on as the embers of his camp are going out from
the fires Gul'dan's orcs set. It says there's fewer casualties than Durotan expected,
but that Durotan probably just took them as live sacrifices to be fuel for the fel.
Within the same paragraph...

There's also grammatical errors and random gender swapping. It just all seems weird.
