I just rewatched it a few times and I honestly don't think it looks stupid, he's just subduing her instead of casting a blast. Doesn't even look bad to me in this shit quality. Subjective opinions I guess.

It's irrelevant that he's subduing her. The shot of her floating away just heavily reminds me of some really old special effects. Like really old-school Superman flying.

Looks like she's levitating to me then thrown on the ground and subdued. It doesn't look bad to me. I like how she runs up to him too ready to pounce. Maybe she just escaped from her chains or something.

Toby got asked if Durotan's face was modeled after his and said no but... come on! To me I can easily see it. Maybe it isn't modeled exactly, but I can totally see those who created the Durotan model that they used Toby's face as reference. He has a very stern face

But flying is different than levitating. If someone flies like that, I would say it looks horrible too. But since she levitates, the effect IMO looks great.

Okay, but my point is that it looks the same because the flying Superman dated animation made it look more like he was just floating than actually flying, while in this case the floating looks actually like floating.

Anyway, I like it. Also liked Garona in the footage. Probably the best footage of her we had so far
