They aren't even the majority, not even remotely close. The like-ratio speaks for it self across the web, hell, even Youtube comments aren't that bad. Reddit on the other hand, the ephitome of circlejerk.

Side not, anyone have ANY idea what this is? https://twitter.com/eventowarcraft

They've been counting down the days for something that they will announce this saturday, they've been counting down for more 12 days now. (I know spanish btw) By the looks of it, it's some ''event'' or something along those lines for Warcraft, but eh it's weird, and oddly overhyped.

I doubt it something serious cause in other case all official twitter accounts of WCM would mention that surprise. Maybe they will give some free tickets on the early screening or someting like that?
Btw, nice art with comparison of canon/movie appearance of the characters (though, i imagined iconic Khadgar looks exactly like Ben Schnetzer).

Isn't that an exclusive Dark Portal picture? I don't think they've even released that image.

    You mean this?

That's cropped fan-art from last year.

With all the talk about trailer and such, a thought sprung to mind.
The movie was supposed to come out the same time The Force Awakens came out. So... could it be... that everything we've seen until now... was actually supposed to come out way before it did?
What I mean is, maybe the trailer and such was meant to be released way earlier, and consequently made way earlier with even less-polished CGI, than we originally thought? After all, first trailers usually come out, what, 4 months prior to release? With the second trailer being 2-ish months prior. And the first trailer for Warcraft came out only a month before the movie was supposed to. I would assume the trailer was created a good while before the movie was supposed to come out, and then was held back because of the delay.

Maybe. I've just assumed the first trailer was rushed out because of Blizzcon and that's
why the drought exists right now.

Yeah, the trailer came out like 7-8 months before the film which is pretty much not something that happens usually, they were pressured due to the comic con thing (and Blizzcon), so in a sense, we got a trailer WAY before we would have. (in most cases)

The second date for the film was March, so the trailer would have came out more or less at the same time if you think about it.

3)Orcs look strange. Oh, its a baby Shrek!
    4)Humans look off.
    5)Armor looks like a cosplay.
6)Wait, they have made Warcraft movie?! Where is my Halo movie?
7)I think they should have made Starcraft Movie instead.
8)That looks like every generic fantasy movie.
9)It looks like it may be the first actually good game adaptation movie.
10)Wait, that movie was made by the son of David Bowie?!
11)Please, dont suck, please, dont suck!
12)There is still time left for them to polish the CGI.
13)I wont watch this movie if there will be no Leeroy Jenkins in it!
14)Is this movie include the 2 hours live-stream raid in the Naxxramaas?
What's funny is that I've actually seen all these comments on most official videos about the movie (except the last one, that one is funny).
If you're looking for something more amusing than those comments, my advice is to watch trailer reactions done by the people who know nothing about Warcraft. The amount of reactors that called orcs "Hulk" is hilarious.

I also noticed that if they've had a reaction to baby Thrall, it was "awww", rather than "ewww" that wow fans seem to spit out occasionaly. Honestly, it's as if the fans are becoming more and more like hardcore starwars fans, which is no good. (not thrashing star wars, I love star wars, it's the fans who are crazy sometimes)

    They're not hugely wrong there.

I assume certain things in story/looks will change in this adaptation, but with the ex-players in the equation, hopefully things that matter will stay iconic.

Still trying to push down all the hype, so I don't spontaneously combust.

Yep, the movie was 98% ready on the Comic Con in July. Movie supposed to be released in December initially. I bet they have made first trailer in June or May. I also bet the second trailer also was made summer or autumn 2015. That slightly worries me cause if they have made trailers before November, then they wont react on legit critical response in November, and wont fix mistakes in the second trailer such as meh editing and meh music choice that filled the first trailer. I hope im wrong and they reworked the second trailer after November.
Another pieces of character art. The artist nailed the look of movie version characters.

A cosplayer has nearly completed her version of King Llane's armor. Says all that's
left for her to finish is the boots.

Good to see stuff inspire people even before they've experienced it fully.

The movie's armor looks like utter shit. Could they not just go with this.

  16. #1036
It's... pretty much the same thing. They even made bigger shoulders at first, but the actors couldn't move properly, so they toned them down.

The armor is as Warcraft as it gets without CGI humans.

You're misunderstanding me. The movie was SUPPOSED to come out in December, but we got the very first trailer only a month before. Sure, the movie got delayed 7 months, but surely that trailer was made way before it was released because it was supposed to come out 3-4 months before December?

I'm not convinced that the trailer was made way before. There was a completely different trailer being cut (If you remember from a Russian leak), so they were experimenting with it, and the move to go from December > to March happened like...a LONG time ago. If the movie stayed in December (which would have been a disaster), it was obviously going to have it's very first trailer in like August.

Those were convention exclusives, though. They said that those were never meant to be the trailer, just a "rough look".

Honestly, I don't know what point you're trying to make right now. But my point is that reason dictates if the film was still coming in december, marketing and trailers would have started around August - September. Also the trailer I'm talking about is not the ''footage'' from Comic Con, it's an actual in-pogress trailer that was being cut by a Russian studio, which leaked with the editor talking over it and all (that guy probably doesn't have a job anymore).
