Sure, valid starting point to argue against it but if anything it just shows that the missions were in the incorrect order. Its completely ignorable because of the item, it was created by the mages of Dalaran to rebuild after it was destroyed. That was its sole purpose. If the Dalaran event didn't happen there was no need to create it and it couldn't have been used by Ner'zhul because it wouldn't exist, therefore causing BoDP onwards to never have occured.
The item exists therefore the event occured.
Should add to this, the seige of Lordaeron comes after the Tomb of Sargeras as well, so unless you are going to argue this never happened either then that's just another reason why the ordering of the missions is less important.

But that's why I said it was convoluted in the first place. It wasn't in different order because it's the mission before the Fall of Lordaeron.
Either way, fun thought, the Siege of Dalaran is the first mission that we use dragons in the game. Avoiding the tornados was so fun at the time.
There is no problem with flying Dalaran, it's actually closer to the WC2 and WC2x "Cross Island" raidings with red and black dragons.

Yeah I remember, the Dalaran attack in WC3 is the same. I can see how the unit access timing allows for it to be flying but in the end it wasn't and shouldn't be now if only to allow the warcraft 3 cinematic to matter. I know Duncan has attempted to disclaim his way around it but I personally just don't believe the story required any tampering outside of what was already established. The game was popular because of its lore in the first place, its the reason why so many people played/play it in the first place and believing that it needed more alteration makes me feel like whoever was incharge of the WoD story was involved in the writing for the movie. They had an entire raid zone dedicated to Ogres and they made Dentarg, the most powerful horde hero in WC2 into a quest mob that took about 10 seconds to kill.
Okay so this is really pissing me off... these press people gets invited to see the movie, and they can tell their fans on Twitter and facebook about it, and they also can take pictures of the props from the movie. But they are NOT allowed to tell anyone what they thought about the movie? Not even whether they liked or not.
That is weird. Why be allowed to say they are gonna watch it, but not come out and tell what they think about it? Nobody is spoiling anything by doing this... if you ask me, they should not be able to say ANYTHING. Not even that they are going. They are just teasing their fans for days :I
The novels are only as canon as the next one, you desperately want them to matter but they get replaced with new information like the chronicle book and suddenly you'll defend the new information tooth and nail and pretend the old book is replaceable because you've got something new to drool over. The only story that matters is in the games. Warcraft is a gaming series that tells the story, the novels are replaceable money generation that as I showed above have plot holes that make them ignorable.
If Blizzard can't tell the Warcraft story in the game they've failed as developers.

Probably so they can write reviews for it to draw people in, which will be released closer to the movies release date.

Duncan Jones is answering questions here now.
Keep telling to yourself that. The fact is, everything Blizzard deems canon is canon and only when new canon material overwrites the old one said material is not canon anymore. This happened to some novel information much like happened to plenty of game material aswell. Be it novels, short-stories, comics or the game itself, what is overwritten by new lore doesn't matter anymore. And the most recent lore is what matters and is considered canon.
Needless to say, WC1 and WC2 are the oldest beasts of the franchise and where the lore got retconned the most. Little of what is told in those games matters anymore. The Last Guardian, Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal (as well as Rise of the Horde serving as prequel novel) are basically all that matters nowdays when you want to read about the story of that period. The only valuable material of those games in terms of lore is the one not ovewritten by those novels. Case closed.
Novels are objectively a better mean to tell a story. Better than any MMORPG or RTS format.
Q: Hey Duncan, could you give us a hint at what your favorite scene in the film is? Was there anything cut that you wish had stayed?
A: I don't want to spoil anything by giving you a favorite scene, but I will tell you one particular thing I would have loved to kept in the cut. Chesney Hawkes medieval rendition of his song The One and Only.
We need an extended edition of this movie...
Guess that means Orgrimmar in two movies.Originally Posted by Duncan
Considering we would be following Thrall's character perspective, it most certaintly means Orgrimmar or something of that vacinity.
Also @@Tornwar always love those behind the scenes takes.
