Out of 436 votes, 313 are blind 10s.

We all want the movie to be good, but I think most of us also want it to be judged properly. This doesn't help anyone and it makes us look desperate, something that, after the reviews we've seen these past few days, we shouldn't be. It's a solid 7 movie, and that's a lot for a potential franchise starter, one based on a videogame, too.

Hopefully people outside the community can see past the love-hate fanatism and enjoy it for what it is.

It's good PR to have a high score on IMDB

Also, funny how you call them blind 10s while you say the movie is a solid 7 without having seen the movie

7.5 is fine by me. I don't expect the movie to be as good as LOTR.

Well, I base that on the few reviews I've read so far. It also doesn't look any worse than most other blockbusters, which range from 6 to 8.

I'm probably gonna cry during this movie especially when things happen to Durotan and Draka

I really hope the scenes are instant and not something you get foreshown, I really want it to be touching moments where everyone people have been voting for are gone. I want to hear gasps from people in the cinema

I'll probably be the only one in the theater sobbing.

Fun fact about IMDB, most fans don't even know you can rate it. Give it time...I expect thousands of "votes" before movie is even released..

i dont even know why people are excited about imdb rating. for huge movies it means nothing. fans and haters always make it inadequate.

Once again, IMDB ratings are good PR.
Many people look up a movie on IMDB or RT to see their score before they go to see it

If you're interested in what some reviewers (or these in particular) will maybe think of Warcraft, Give this video a watch from 19:00+. I don't perticulary watch them usually but the title caught my attention.

You can get an idea of some of the mindset from a few of them, basicly fuck CGI practical all the way, High Fantasy apperantly is ''cheesy'', lots of faith in Duncan, among other opinions and fantasy topics. Some comments buggle the mind, but nevertheless give it a go.

A moron, or the ignorant. And most of the movie going public is rather ignorant of it.

Of course it's not very reliable, but checking a movie whether it's got an 8 rather than, say, a 6, is what I often do before going to see something I'm not intrinsically very excited about. IMDB is just fine for such a wide and rough estimate of a movie's quality.

Yeah, except the fact that journalists are intended to report facts, not bombard you with their own opinions in regards of said facts.

Well, it definitely can't be as good, considered the fact that LOTR is a whole established trilogy. This movie is meant as a franchise starter. Any potential comparison will make more sense if Warcraft manages for real to deliver a full trilogy aswell.

On the premiere day, May 26, in 18:00 IMAX 3D, there is 4 places reserved. Same day, 9:05 no 3D, 0 places reserved.

Pretty much a failure to me.
