Lost a bet, need to raid for a week as a melee hunter. Any ideas to max dps?

So far I've been fucking around and it's actually not that bad. Kill command, glaive toss, dire beast, traps (without the launcher), and crows can all be used without a ranged weapon. I keep focus fire at 5 stacks until i run low on focus, then i pop it to get enough haste to get close to 100. that way the pet gets a lot of damage out of the passive until it's necessary to use it again. I seem to do about 20-30% less damage, but it's manageable.

Haven't raided yet, though. Let's say I need to maximize my DPS. What's the best way to do that?

For pets I'm thinking maybe a worm, I can't activate Beast Cleave without Multishot, so having a worm AoE (8s duration, 14s CD) would be pretty helpful. For stats I'll need to stack mastery since the majority of my damage is the pet.
For talents, probably Intimidation (for an emergency interrupt since I can't interrupt normally) and Adaptation, to boost pet damage.

Any other ideas that I might be missing? I'm sure people have tried this before.

All I can think of is go BM, stack the shit out of mastery, spec into the BM level 100 talent and grab all of the little damage items that you can manage. Like the goblin rockets andthe other random on use items scattered throughout Draenor.

Also, intimidation is a stun, and doesn't work on boss enemies as an int.

Why are you a hunter mod if you never do anything hunter-moddy and Escha is calling all the shots despite there being a fuckton to do to say the least?

Okay, Erm. I gather pets are allowed... ah you said, Okay... It's been a long time since i've even looked at my hunter I don't know what kinds of weapons or tricks you could pull to make this a 'good old college try'.

At a guess, whatever gives the most agi, which is probably a cheap questing monk weapon or whatevs.

I just realized I have no way to get weapons other than doing full guild runs so we can change the dungeon loot from Personal. and there's zero hope in LFR. oh boy

Well the bet is that you raid as melee hunter right? he did not said you needed to use melee weapons right? so just get in melee range hahaha i bet it will work.

glaive toss does not require a ranged weapon, so you should skill that

you should also trap on cd
