Nightstalker buff only buffs the pulse from DfA not the buffed evis at the end.

Damn, that's true and the pulse is the worst part of it. So my next question is would the buff to Dfa make it viable in arena now?

Your Evis will hit as hard as a DfA Evis if you are using Nightstalker and Vanish -> Evis directly. The downside is you don't get to Garrote.
