Gem of Ease and not getting experience

nevermind. i relogged and it fixed. i guess when i went from elvel 9 to 15 in 1 group i broke it.

Anyway - the gem of Ease works so well that you're very likley to outlevel stuff around you before you kill everything, thus not getting xp from kills. Just teleport/move aorund or to another zone to force new mobs of the right level to spawn.
