so, until we can actually get convo scenes that has the camera rotate round to see your character's face and expressions..
i think they should have an option for animated portraits like in the old warcraft games.
Your player portrait in game is basically a camera fixed on your face - and you will see all the character expressions when doing all the different things, it would be dynamic, and you can resize it. It is optional btw, so if you reckon you can't handle it or it's too much for your system, you can turn back to static portraits.
or is their an app/add-on for this already?
e.g:
Your portrait show's your characters face as it is.. do a /clap you will see it on your character and the portrai will show his face
Casting? The portrait will show the character's expression, mapping whatever you're doing.
***EDIT ADDITIONS***
Other Caveats include
- instead of emoticons appearing in chat when you do things like , they should have a portrait of your character smiling, and always doing things like should have your character smile, with an emote saying <<character name>> smiles.
- The ability to set your expression especially in idle mode. This is your default expression, you can change from smile, to frown, to moody etc etc to a whole range of expressions. Simply /setexpression or /setface and that would be your characters expression till you change it.
- Further - /smiling , /frowning etc at an NPC would automatically trigger the same emote on his face for about 5-10secs before it returns to the default expression. That could be fun
