I don't like vocals in a lot of music, but I really, really like Veela, and I really really like the vocals from that girl with the cool hair in The Distillers

Well, you haven't been to many concerts I guess.

    Do those count?

And many "artists" lip sink during concerts. Quite a few have been caught doing it, too.
Oh my god you saw riverdance? I am so, so, so jealous :O

For a male voice I think it is Loïc Rossetti from The Ocean, great vocalist. I love his voice, both clean and screamed. I also love the melodies he comes up with, check out his writing style in this video. Very versatile, he can go from gentle singing into a brutal screams.

For a female voice, well, I don't listen to many female singers. However I have to say Florence Welch.

Without doubt it's Syrah from Qntal for me:

Link 4 (my favourite one, but you do really notice that you can't beat an actually trained voice)

    Billy Corgan, yeah really.

You only realise just how good he is when you hear someone try and cover a pumpkins song, 99.9% of the time the intensity is just absent. He may not be a great "singer" but he is great at using what he has.

Thomas Dolby has a unique and nice voice. Very British without being too posh..

Female: Marie Daulne from zap mama. "Seven" being her best album. She uses her voice in all sorts of ways.
