Need a CPU fan upgrade. Is this a good one for this computer?

My friends CPU I guess is over heating and he claims his fan isn't good enough. So he asked me to find a replacement. He has a 1150 socket so I looked up things and found this CPU but I just don't know enough to make sure it fits. I recommended one before but it was too big for his case.

    Here is his computer. http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04100558
Here is the heatsink I told him to buy. http://www.amazon.com/MASSCOOL-80mm-...=80mm+heatsink

    Nooo dont get that lol.

He has a standard i5 4440 CPU the stock cooling unit is more than sufficient for that. If anything it isnt seated properly. The one you linked above would actually cool worse than intel stock heatsink lol.

I would personally just put another stock heatsink back on it, i have one in my closet if he wants it lol.

He should clean the setup from dust. If that isn't enough, finding a good replacement cooler can be problematic since those cases are quite crammed.

The replacement heatsink you told him to buy is hardly an improvement.

i have the stock heatsink on my 4440 i5 and it works just fine. if he is having issues with the stock design, he shouldn't replace it with a cheap heatsink.
