    Blast Furnace Talent Discussion

My guild is having trouble with single target damage on blast furnace. I was running demonbolt for that fight, but I'm considering going dserv/goserv. I'm curious what others think is the best option. I feel gimped phase 1 with dserv/goserv and no felguard, but demonbolt just isn't getting the job done for me. For reference, I was going glyph of dark soul and going to 2 stacks of dbolt debuff, then SF spam.

Seeing that P1 still has priority targeting, dotting up everything and tearing into Bellows/Engineer, is probably the best and will also allow you to burn down Primalists. It's not a DB blow-up by any means, but should make you still valuable. Cataclysm could work too though, it hits reasonably hard and you should have it on 3/4 Primalists potentially.

I still run DB on that fight simply for elementalist damage. It's pretty easy to get the fury for a full four DBs into each one and it is still a great talent for burst dps.

If you want to consider something other than Demo, CR-Destro w/ GoSac is very powerful for the fight post DB-nerf. You will always have full embers to burn on every important burn (elementalists, bellows, etc), and you have a very strong ability to clean up mobs and execute the low health ones even during burn cycles. I can come close to topping elementalist damage easily. The only minor downside is that your damage in the very last phase can be slightly lower compared to the other classes, but that part of the fight is the easy part anyway so it doesn't really matter.

How critical is 4p bonus for CR-destro w/ GoSac on this fight? Still rocking 3p here. I've been trying cataclysm-Demo and DB, but I saw your log from a week or so ago and wanted to give CR-destro a try. I was hoping to get 4p this week, but no luck!

My group didn't seem to critically need my AoE, and we were just getting down elementalists (heroic) when I was DB, so I was planning on sticking to that unless you think CR-destro might be competitive.

I've ran Cata for every Blast Furnace fight we have done, then again we usually keep the firemenders close to the primal elementalists for the cleaves and AOE. I've thought about running CR-Destro w/GoSac, might attempt that today to see the difference.

As long as you don't have Bomb duty for the first phase, as most of the locks do, then destro is very viable for Furnace. Arendel, you pretty much want to stack as many MC stacks with DS for those Elementalist burns. You shouldn't have problems in single target on those. Even if you're running Cata.

Cata seems good for destro in most places as well as sacrifice and cr

You can play whatever you want on the encounter now with available gear and nerfs.

    Personally, I prefer AD/Serv/Serv Demo.

Cataclysm works well on that fight. You can Cata the Elementalists basically on CD and use CWave

Cataclysm by itself produces very nice burst and the CD is low enough to have it up almost anytime.

and you have homogenous dps on each elem with cata ?
wcl perhaps ? because i personnally have roller coster dps on elementalist one is 500k another is 1m depending if i have ds/proc or not..

I'm more inclined to say cata at this point. I went back to DB last week (just for the hell of it) and had my worst performance since week one. Of course, much of that could be placed on me not optimizing damage as well as I should. I've been so inconsistent on that fight; one week I'm pushing 40k, the next I'm doing well under under 30 and less than the tanks.

Depends on you window you prefer to see on your skada. If you like to see damage done, use cata if you want to see Enemy damage taken--> Primal elementalist you can pick something else :P
Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

I've always gone Demo with synergy/cata. With the amount of adds to use hand of gul'dan on you should be able to build up plenty of molten core stacks and fury to just spam soul fire on each Elementalist.

I happened to get 4p prior to Blast Furnace attempts, so I tried GoSac/AD/CR. I'm happy with the output. I was able to put out ~1-1.3M damage per elementalist while maintaining ~35-40k overall dps in P1 and P2 on my guild's attempts last night. Biggest thing I miss is demonic leap.

I wish it was a talent available to all specs. Could replace KJC and I'd be so happy.

i've been doing this fight so far as cata. I've tried it as GoServ + DS, was not happy with my output on the p1 for bellowers / burst + p2 elementalists, seeing as it's not up for all of them. may end up trying out GoSac + CR / Destro for the next attempts.

Make mortal coil baseline, move blood horror into the tier 30 mortal coil slot, move demonic leap into the tier 60 blood horror slot, and give unbound will a small burst of speed on use. Make 2 minor glyphs that require a target for demonic leap. One that allows myself to leap to any other player and another that pulls players to me.

I thought Demonbolt was useless as of the nerf? I've been running cataclysm on nearly every boss fight, switching to GoServ + Demonic Serv for single target fights i.e gruul, oregorger. I dnt see Demonbolt being useful, especially as now anything over 2 demonbolts in a row is less productive than one touch of chaos. For Blast Furnance specifically, after looking at all talent combos I'm running GoSupremacy/Cataclysm
RNG. The Numbers are dark and full of terrors.
