Sell it or give it away for free?

Milli Vanilli, Bigger than Elvis
Is there anything to cause scarcity of supply? Cost to manufacture, limited availability of resources, anything at all?
Everyone who says they will give it away for free are full of shit.
You're getting exactly what you deserve.
I would consider charging, however I would give it away for free 100%
Besides think of the Publicity of the person who *CRACKED CANCER!*
Book deals- tv talk shows and so on would be more than enough money
I'd definitely ensure that is was available to everyone regardless of socio-economic status. As much as I'd love to make massive profit off it, I don't think I'd be able to live with myself as soon as I saw it being marked up by large pharmaceutical companies.
Sell, I'm a capitalist. But secretly break into hospitals and administer it to patients because I'm not a scumbag

some jerk who desperately needs it
Even if you give it away for free you will make a fortune from money people donate to you.
Give it away.
1. It's the right thing to do.
2. I'll get a BIG ego boost from it.
3. Money's good, but "more money more problems."
Yup. I'd sell it for a huge amount to a pharma company with the stipulation (legally bound and written and all that jazz) that they sell it for a low price.
The distribution would be in no way manageable. I would need a world scale organisation to distribute the cure. It couldn't work without money. The problem is that there's not a single financially and infrastructurally powerful enough institution in the world that could be trusted to back the whole project without managing to make the world an even worse place. Which kind of leads me to the realization that if I had a cure for cancer, I'd best be doing nothing with it.
Because of the way the question is worded, I voted give it away. I didn't work for it, I didn't earn it, it was just handed to me.
This doesn't mean I think it's wrong for people/companies who develop drugs, treatments, etc to be compensated for their R&D...which I have a funny feeling is an undertone of the thread.
my first thought was free...but I'm broke as fuck trying to make it through college....so i'd prolly sell it @ like $1 a pill. I don't need billions (no one does) just enough to get by.
Hell, some drugs are $10,000 a pill, $1 is pretty much free, still would make millions.
I wouldn't like the publicity personally - so, I'd sell it (to individual people, not a pharmaceutical company), but for reasonable price.
Oh, and patent it, before someone else does (I think there's some sort of patent possible, where others might manufacture it etc, but not patent themselves, not sure - if that's true, I'd consider picking that one).
