Engineer sellables?

Title says it all. I'm sitting 1000+ gears and want to put items on the AH. What sells?

Nothing of worth. The pets and scopes don't even sell for material price and Shredder's sell for under 1k.

To be fair, the same could be said about most professions. With the exception of tailor bags, profession items sell for chump change if they even turn a profit at all.

It's been that way every expansion, especially for engineers. We get the "cool gadgets" and jack diddly sell-wise.

Let's just be thankful Blizz didn't make us alchemy's bitch like we were in MoP.

To be fair, the same could be said about most professions.

My server is medium large.

I can sell 100 Truesteel ingots for ~2200g
I can sell 100 Taladite for ~1800g

Gears? 300g. Tops.

There's something to be said for whoever thought that having a profession that can craft items for ONLY engineers, or ONLY hunter weapons, and nothing else... Meanwhile, the other professions enjoy making a swath of items for every class and spec nearly.

Again, that's been every expansion. Even when we could sell the hot-ticket mekigneers chopper in WotLK, you'd turn maybe a 1k-2k profit off of it if you were lucky.

It's stupid and annoying, but not unexpected.

nothing really - you mostly wasted a lot of ore

There's nothing. I am continuing to make gears on cooldown, mostly because I'm hoping some new items are added in 6.2 that might sell. And I have ore coming out my ears so why not.
