[PS4] How to change primary PS4 setting?

I had a day one PS4 edition from Amazon, who suffered from the controller stick sickness. Got the whole bundle exchanged pretty easily without much effort or waiting time.

The problem is, that I activated my old console as primary PS4 in my PSN account and it seems that I cant change this setting unless being online throught said activated PS4. Major features such as cloud savings and what not are bound to this "primary PS4 setting"-BS and I didnt find a solution to this problem yet. Any hint?

Have you contacted Sony support? They seem like the ones who would handle the issue for you.

You can deactivate consoles on your account settings on the psn web page(which is currently in maintenance or I would give you a direct link).

After that you can go to your settings on your ps4 and select "make this my primary ps4 system".

PSN is back up, but I cant find the option to remove the old primary PS4.
