They should revamp the crap out of the questing system

They should keep it simple and do it like this:

1.significantly reduce the number of quest

    For leveling there should be"

    -Story: Main storyline quest

-Class quest: quest that show cases a characters new abilities/talents and how to add them to rotations or utilize them in combat.

-Explanatory: Gives a background of the world. Tells origins of species, people, history, and culture. To widen players appreciation of the world.

Get rid of all other quest add all then new ones needed. Quest like collect zebra hooves should be removed.

    2. Significantly increase the experience from quest.

    3. Significantly strengthen monsters. It’s not fun fighting worthless giraffes and cheetahs that die in 2 hit. Killing more of them doesn’t make it more fun. If we they put up more of a fight we might have more fun and more often, we may even come back for seconds. More abilities and more AI might help.

    4. Significantly increase the experience reward from monsters.

    5. Recycle those kill Zebra/collect quest as reputation quest.

Reputation quest: Just like turning in wool cloth for Vanilla WoW reputation quest do not give experience and you can do an endless amount of them.

-Increasing reputation with a faction will give you access to useful green items for sale in towns that may be helpful for leveling.

-Better reputation could also mean that Npc’s will do you favors such as heal you, cook you food, trade items, give you buffs, sell unique toys, sell
transmogs, etc. When your exalted you can even be escorted by a guard for a limited number or time. Being Revered will give you access to write things in a bulletin board, such as a bounty for someone that ganked you.

-Increasing your reputation could also give you access to use certain clickable objects such as gazlowe’s hammock that increase rest xp, or Chen’s keg, Muradin’s sharpening stone, Vol’jins totem, or maybe something like access to play a golf mini game in Gallywix Palace.

    The reason for this system:

I just feel like WoW would feel better to play if it was simplified like this. I think it's a structure that will make it clear for players to learn the objectives of the game. If the only thing people focus on is their class mechanics, the games story, the games culture then people have a lot more appreciation for the game. It would also save Blizzard a lot of resources in the future not making 2000 quest per expansion, though I think Draenor has significantly less.

Also on second thought maybe the rep quest can also give experience but not as much as the story. But the point being is their optional. This game strucuture is designed so that the game is kept simple by showing the games objectives and allowing players to roam around the game doing fun things that they'd like. The amount of resources they'll save could mean Blizzard can implement more fun content like the Gurubashi Arena, or Hellfire Fortifications, more Darkmoon faire like stuff, something for players to do in game to have fun with or without friends outside of raiding.

If they want to make more players dedicated to PVP and PVE they should make the game fun enough.... If the game is fun enough, it makes people want to stay longer. If people want to stay longer, people will try to make friends, which will try to make them stay even longer.. To stay even longer.. they may aswell get strong in the game... Right now the game model is confused. The game needs all three. some people it might start at one point, for some another, but for Mmo's this is a pretty good formula to keep players.

I feel like WoW as a game has just been too absorbed in trying to find this one thing that gives this feeling of "epic" that it's forgotten to be fun...

Idk, the game has no sense it's just like a breeding ground for narcissism. What kind of game isn't designed to be game, like fun or something like that. The focus of the game right now.... It doesn't have any real focus. Its only focus left is just narcisistic Epeen related stuff. I kinda wish WoW would stay away from that.

Thats pretty much the reason why Id like this structure for WoW. Cause I don't like Narcissism as gameplay.

That's a lot of words to simply say you want to play ESO instead of WoW. WoW will never have this design, ever. If this is legit what you want, you will need to play other MMOs that focus on these sorts of principles.

The only part of your post I agree with. If a mob cons yellow to me (eg, the same level as me or I think +/-1) it should not be two-hit killed. Just my opinion.

I mean, I guess. Because it's not like WoD isn't already a half-dozen bandaids meant to artificially prolong what little worthwhile content there is; may as well make it take longer to get there and make it as much of a ballache as Apexis dailies and rep grinds in WoD are. That way we don't get confused by the fast-paced, fun leveling storyline and think Draenor has any intention of keeping the fast pace up at level cap.

I wouldn't mind more of the Tanaan Jungle experience in questing. It's a bit more single player but great for story telling.

SWTOR has a shit load of quests and levelling is quite slow; you should try it, it's like WoW, except with 100 loading screens.
