Wasn't there a blue post recently that said the patch will only add the back-end infrastructure for the tokens? And that the tokens themselves will be activated at a later date?

I would imagine they want to announce more details on pricing 1-2 weeks prior to letting the tokens go live

Yep. It counts as a raid tier.

If they were worried about Q1 they would have done a little more with 6.1 than they did. QED, they're not worried or even thinking about Q1. 6.2 needs to be good though.

Not sure if a Blizzard hater or something else. You do realize that someone has to pay for the token in order to a player to buy it with gold, right? You can't play for free with just gold, Blizzard still gets money for your sub. They aren't inflated, they are legitimate subs. Can your Blizzard focused, hatred hazed brain comprehend that or it's too complicated? It is only natural that the amount of players will increase after the token is introduced, take people like me, who are still in school living in a not-so-rich country. I want to play, but sometimes I just can't afford to, so I can't maintain a 100% gametime uptime. With the gold tokens I will finally be able to.

BRF came out and people would have subbed for that which will count. 6.1 has nothing to do with anything.
