Yemen - not a US ally, not a Russia ally, military weakling.
Looks like prime material for a hostile takeover.

To be perfectly honest, I am glad Iran is doing all this and the US isn't doing anything about it. Instead of waiting around for the US to invade/sanction or whatever, then bitch at them for doing it (whether right or wrong) they will do something them damn selves and fix the mess, or make it worse.
At least this time it won't be our fault, and if things go a lot worse than normal, well to bad, they wanted us out. If things go better than expected, great, why didnt they do that in the first place?
The Houthies have my full support. The sunni majority in the middle east have been persecuting and murdering the Shiite for up to a thousand years. There is no more evil and corrupt country in the world than Saudi Arabia with their Wahhabism that are the source of both Al Qaida and IS. May the Houthie bullets and missiles strike true.
This conflict feels like the 30 year war, the question is if Iran can bear the burden of protecting the shiite just like how Sweden did to protect protestantism.
There was nothing stable about yemen, for one it's the poorest country down there and is full of rebels/terroists. Was just a matter of time before this happend.
Look up US foreign aid and you will see it is a large amount. If you leave, the money leaves, plain and simple. millions of people will die.
Well I mean one country has to fight 3 different countries? I mean they should be able to defend themselves ez pz am I right?

And Saudi arabia is massing for a ground "intervention" now, as expected, this is going to keep escalating.
You're a towel.
So ISIS has been beheading people and taking territory for months but they are Sunni radicals, Saudi Arabia hasnt really done much
Shia militias take territory and Saudi sends ground troops the same day.
That should speak for itself.
So, irans sponsoring of rebels caused an all out war; why is this a good time to drop sanctions on them again? It seems like by far the worst time, rewarding them for causing trouble?
You're a towel.
And now Israel is saying it will help the Saudi led coalition to oust the Iranian backed rebels, while Iran and Russia both say the upcoming invasion is illegal.
Why are we negotiating with Iran to drop sanctions right now again? on one hand, we are negotiating and acting all chummy, on the other, we are supporting bombing Iranian assets in Yemen...

Iranians deliver 185 tons of weapons to rebels in Yemen:

You're a towel.
A ground war that Turkey won't fight. Turkey has been leaving the doors open into Syria to allow the flow of men and material to ISIS themed groups.

It is called strategy. Dealing the Iranian nuclear issue is priority #1. Priority #2 is dealing with ISIS. Dealing with Houthi v Sunni is basically a non-priority for the USA. USA/Obama has treated the Houthi(Saleh-exPres quietly leading Houthis) versus Sunni(Hadi-2011 New guy hiding in Saudi Arabia) contest as an internal matter. Moreover, do you think it is at all a good idea for USA to start shooting up the Houthis? We have been shooting the AQAP guys in Yemen, which is a good thing. But remember, AQAP and Houthis are on shooting terms. ISIS/AQAP guys were the ones who did that 150+ kill suicide bombing in that Shiite mosque two weeks ago.
Also, if we walk on the Iran deal, then China and Russia drop their sanctions, and then we lose all leverage on Iran. The deal is P5+1, not just USA. That deal is the only thing keeping the pressure on Iran. Unilateral sanctions from USA will not at all make up for China and Russia dropping their sanctions.
Their is kind of an eerie parallel between the US/west and russia in these respective situations.
Ukraine: Russian backed leader ousted by a violent "Protest/coup" (Both sides had violent issues, I am aware, thanks). Leader flees to russia. Russia annexes crimea, ongoing civil war type going on.
Yemen: Western/US backed leader ousted by violent "Protest/coup". Leader flees to the Western allies. Western allies intervene in Yemen. Ongoing civil war going on.
So why is one acceptable, and one not? I just don't get the reasoning.

Dealing with the Iran nuclear issue by dropping sanctions on them as they spread discord/war among neighboring countries? That sounds more like they are winning any "Negotiation" to me.
You're a towel.
It's like a build up to WW3, sadly. Can only hope and pray such conflict ends.
In the end, arms dealers + defense contractors win; taxpayers lose. Innocent civilians die.

Wut? If you think that's the root cause, their culture. Then is no reasonable debate. US caused intentional instability in the region. MAYBE, justifiably, maybe not. Because Saudi Arabia gave us false "inside" intel that Saddam was gearing up. Even if he didn't have the smoking gun, some evidence points to the gun being built.
The problem is Saudi Arabia backed right horse and semi-allied itself with US. Iran is pissed off by that and in general. They can't DIRECTLY and openly fight without causing another World War. So US sets the stage for backed rebel uprisings after causing a shit storm. Influx of weapons, maybe drugs, maybe intel. Whatever. This allows justification of action on every side and they all fight it out on the field.
Hate me if you want, but this shit isn't any different then some fucking blood sport. US and Saudi have too much money, not enough to do with it. So they are causing a shit storm, just to burn some cash. You can goddamn well bet, the instability is Saudi Arabias fault. So much money. All it takes is a few millions dollars here or there, and now some Saudi Prince has started a rebel uprising. Backed by US arms, made by US instability, instructed by some foreign asshole, and excuted by some desperately poor people. Thumbs uped, by Putin, and surely has pissed off Iran. The crazy kid in class with just enough aggression to fight back, but too stupid to hide it from the teacher.
