For what it's worth, the Talon of Azshara 1H sword which drops from Morogrim Tidewalker in SSC is actually a recolour of a vanilla 2H (The Untamed Blade from Razorgore in BWL) just with part of the hilt cut off. And that's a pretty big 2H in the first place, if you want a 2H as Glad just transmog that (I think a Quel is around the same size too).

It would dwarf the size of the shield, which is supposed to be large and intimidating and the keystone of the spec's aesthetic. Additionally, glads "iconic" damage ability is shield slam. Why would they have an oversized weapon that isn't even their primary offensive tool?

Overall, just a stupid idea. Stupid, silly, unnecessary. Be thankful we have a spec that can dualwield 2Hs period.

They are what shuriken spec'd tauren rogues use.



That said, while I understand the aesthetic want of a two hander and shield, honestly the main appeal of glat is finally having a sword and board dps spec. If I am not wielding an over-sized spatula while doing so, then so be it.

Bit pointless in a game where most 1 handed swords end up bigger than most 2 handers.

A spear would just get in the way of using your shield as a weapon and all you could really do is thrust with it, it's why (imo) transmogging 2 polearms doesn't work because it just feels silly and would be a sure fire way to get yourself killed.

Hence why in 300 once they break their shield-wall they throw the spears into on-coming enemies and pull out their swords.

I always figured they counted as 1H-maces, unless they wear the wrath-set (The axe-head and shoulders at least), then they become axes :3
