*diablo lightning breaths from max range*
*enemy team takes 3 steps back out of it*

casters: look at this AMAZING teamplay, everyone just backs out of the ultimate at the same time! incredible team play!

    Like man, calm down...

Still bummed out by the lack of minimap and commentary on the player's talent builds. Sheesh.

Hum, you should see LoL tournaments sometimes.

The target audience were most likely your parents or even grandparents. As far as video games go, 90% of that group really needs this to be dumbed down for them to get some kind of connection to it. But yes, it was really painful for people like you and me...

The way these guys jump out on stage. I don't get it.

I'd like eSports to grow and maintain an image. These "pro gamers" jumping out on stage and presenting their awkwardness for all to see.

Please wear fitting clothes. Please fit in some socialising in your lives too. Talking to people shouldn't be as hard as these guys make it out to be.

I know they're probably mostly introverted and quite reclusive - but stop being an awkward turtle.

This is cringe material here though.

Not at all. I won't stereotype them.

They're the "athletes" of this eSport and should also help the image of it all. And can do so by helping themselves.

My opinion, of course. But don't get me wrong. I'm not shaming or being derogatory toward them.

People often compare things like this to football but forget that it took football roughly 150 years to grow into the humongous mass media spectacle it is these days. In the early days of football, they looked quite goofy, too. Give this some time and support it if you like esport. If not, respect them for putting it out there if nothing else. Otherwise, I'm inclined to say: "How about you show us how it's done?"

I imagine getting into the talent builds would be WAY too confusing for non-gamer viewers. They're already struggling to understand the different heroes and their main abilities.

No they're not. They're not professional gamers, they're college kids, full-time students, hoping to win their tuition fees. If they'd all been pro gamers I might have agreed with you, but in this instance you're flat out wrong.

Apart from Cal berekley, the team i'm referencing, is made up of professional gamers.
