Do you come to this forum for an intellectual debates?

I frequent four forums. StackExchange is where I expect intellectuals but it is a place for questions and answers--not debates. Luxury4Play is where I discuss hobbies and meet people. QuantNet is where I discuss work. Unfortunately, it's typically vague outside of mathematics and statistics and the most common topics are redundant and from people trying to become a quant.

Then, there is this site, which is a remnant of what was once a closet addiction. I joined this site long after I switched to a very casual approach to WoW--playing every expansion launch for about a month.

I would have to say no. I'm tired of seeing bigots and hate mongers hide behind the "I don't respect/believe in the issues you have, but I think you're a 'fine' human" or some such garbage. Acting as if they understand, but have no clue.

Well, part of it is educating people. Did you explain things to them? There's no guarantee they'll listen but if they never hear the other side they're never going to change, soften their beliefs etc.

I've stayed out of trigger topics lately since my last suspension. Everyone already has their point of view and isn't changing, and I don't really want another suspension of going off on someone lol So now I'm just the resident sarcastic asshole and mostly moved to Fun Stuff.
