I don't know, a list like that would probably consist of less than five bands. Let's see:

    1. Incubus - A Crow Left of the Murder: The thing about Incubus is they are diverse enough to make two albums and be completely different. ACLOTM is a good mix of all the styles they've done.

    2. Abandoned Pools - Sublime Currency: Not often a band gets better each and every new album, but Abandoned Pools kept it up, at least up to Sublime Currency. Supposedly, the first album after Tommy Walter stopped having relationship issues. Also, Marigolds has been linked in my signature for some time. And I can't find anyone who knows and enjoys this band.

    3. The Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up the Girl: A tough choice, but I've enjoyed the older stuff more than the recent. And you can't go wrong with Black Balloon.

    4. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium: Can't go wrong with a good mix of everything from the Chili Peppers, on a two-disc set.

    5. Pearl Jam - Ten: I mean, it's Pearl Jam Ten.

    6. This Day & Age - The Bell and the Hammer: No Spotify, this band is NOT similar to Abandoned Pools, but awesome nonetheless. Long instrumentals, softer sounds, and unfortunately a lot of lyrics about breaking up.

    7. Toad the Wet Sprocket - Fear: It just isn't the same without Glen Phillips. I miss the good stuff. Toss up between this one and Dulcinea.

    8. Trading Yesterday - More Than This: Not the same when they changed names. More softer rock-ish stuff.

    9. Incubus - Make Yourself: I'm cheating and I don't care. Too many bands I like, but only a few songs off each album. The Killers is a great example of this. Just not a solid album all the way through. So, here's another of my favorite band.

    10. Bowling for Soup - The Great Burrito Extortion Case: Yes, that's the name of the album. Sometimes, you just want some fun punky pop music. Bowling for Soup is the best at it, no doubt. Or was. Last album was a little meh in that regard.

Hey, I only cheated once. Now, if we're including greatest hits albums, then...

Okay....it's going to be damn near impossible to fit this in a top 10 list. But let's see what I can come up with.

    1. Nightwish - Century Child
    2. Metallica - Ride the Lightning
    3. Iron Maiden - Brave New World
    4. Judas Priest - Painkiller
    5. Eluveitie - Helvetios
    6. In Flames - The Jester Race
    7. Joe Satriani - Crystal Planet
    8. Dark Tranquillity - The Mind's I
    9. Death - Symbolic
    10. Stormwarrior - Northern Rage

edit: Aside from Century Child at #1, these are really in no particular order, I just numbered them as I went along out of habit
