Powerleveling followers 90-100 in 2-4 missions using Harrison Jones

Not sure if this is widely known yet, but a few guild mates didn't know about it so I figured I would post it here.

Normally, when you try to do those high level xp missions (10k-20k) with a lower level follower, you get diminished returns. For example a 10k xp mission: A level 100 follower will get the full 10k for a successful mission, but a fresh level 90 will only get around 1k due to his lower combat effectiveness.

Harrison Jones has a perk called Mentor, which gives every follower on the same mission as him his combat effectiveness(copies over his level and ilevel). Not only does this help you get higher success chances on missions, but it allows low level followers to get the full xp reward from your mission. Because your low level followers are now raised to Harrison's level, they no longer get penalized. I've leveled tons of followers from 90-100 in 3-4 missions using harrison jones. Its really handy for those inn users that are recruiting a fresh 90 each week.

You get harrison jones by obtaining this achievement.(Do 6 of his daily quests in your garrison)

Even without his Mentor trait I got him on all 11 characters just for the guaranteed treasure hunter perk.

Didn't take that long to complete them, yeah, a few hours once they were up. As for RNG, its the same quest once its up, regardless of which garrison you go to, and there are always harrison npc garrison invites with the new group finder tool. It sounds daunting yes, but as my primary source of income has been from garrisons (and nowadays specifically garrison missions) investing those (relatively) few hours to get harrison on everyone was too good to pass up.

I did them MOSTLY because of Mentor. Also, to anyone doing this: keep enough upgrade tokens to take him to 675 right away!

Doing the Harrison Jones quest each day isn't the problem. It's getting that last damn one to finally show up that sucks, and it seems like that last one always takes forever to finally spawn again.

That being said, using Harrison Jones and the mage tower mission completion orders, I've recruited a follower and had them to 100 all within about 3 minutes.

I finally got this today, on May 4. The wait for the final quest was terrible and frustrating. So when I got him, and by killing that Skull fellow (no crystal Skull) I said, "Harrison get the falcon warmed up, you're coming home with me." May the 4th be with you!

I finished getting him on my 11 chars, 2 weeks ago. Yes I hated myself at the time, but now it's totally worth it. The whole process took me about 3 weeks since that damn frost fire ridge daily didn't show up.

Just did it on 5 toons. All the quests popped in the last 9 days in NA. The quests are painfully easy. Most of them involve finding a book on the ground, killing a couple of mobs, and then clicking on an item. Took me maybe 10 minutes the first time for each quest, then about 5 minutes per quest after that (except Talador, the travel was a little longer).

It helped that I was doing them on so many toons at once.

This makes me kinda sad.. Because I haven't bothered to get Harrison on any of my 10 lvl 100.. And I consistantly recruit new followers each week for abilities or traits. On 10 chars.

I did one on my main last night, didn't have the energy to do on my second char. But I guess I will have to, and Im on my way leveling more alts... so guess they need it too... but hopefully there will be a little downtime inbetween. Im not a big questing fan =)

If you are talking about garrison dailies need for don't call me Junior, then yeah. Today in EU, The Infected Orc is up and its the last one I need; hoping to get it done tonight when I can logon.

To check on the quests, just goto Wowhead and see the Today in Dreanor section on the right side. Will save you a headache if you are still looking to complete the dailies for the achievement.

Basically 2 645s (goredrenched) and about 10 green weapon/armor upgrades or 25 green upgrades without the set tokens.

Add two of Hearthstone Pro perks (you have to sacrifice Treasure Hunter but who cares, there's inn for them).

Did not know about that feature on Wowhead. Was always annoying to have to find a custom group (not as many around as there used to) and find out it was a daily I already did.

Not entirely sure, but do the other followers perform at Harrison's gear level if they're lower? Doesn't matter much for my main character, but would be very helpful on alts to start doing gold missions with gear requirements.

They do. So if you have Harrison at 675, all follower are boosted to ilevel 675.

I can't even quest on 1, daily.
And "guaranteed" is from inn as well, got like 3-4 in the first week, including rerolls.
