Buying a new Laptop

Hey.

Im coming back from living in Germany and starting to study again at college. I need to get a great laptop for studying, daily use, and some gaming. Im looking to spend 1000 to 1600... I used to be up to date with all this stuff but since living in Germany and doing what I did I didnt use too much computer. Any tips would be nice guys. Help a brotha out.

Are we talking USD$ here?

If so... my recommendation would be to buy a cheap laptop that will do the work you need (you can get extremly solid working laptops for less than 500$ - hell, a Chromebook would probably do what you need, to be honest) and spend ~800-1000$ on a gaming machine if gaming is at all important to you.

youll get a lot more bang for your buck.
