DD warriors in pugs.

So, these days you cannot go into a pug without there being at least one DD warrior in your group and then they'll complain to the SMF fury warriors that they're pulling over 10k dps more than them and wonder how they're pulling such crazy numbers when they're 10-15 ilevels higher than you. I've even been called a hacker before (like DPS hacks exist for WoW....)

Well duh, it's because SMF is superior over DD. If you don't want to be out dpsed by 10k DPS, go SMF. It also makes a difference if you actually learn how to play your class too. Just because you're 695+ doesn't mean that you can out dps 680 warriors that are higher skilled than you. It's a no brainer... *sigh*.

And no, a 680 should not be able to out dps a 695+. Certaintly not if they are both fury.

DD stands indeed for Damage Dealer. It's not something warrior specific.

It's still being used for things like Recruiting, for example on Wowprogress the term DD is still being used

Warriors are only useful for CM right now.
Even in pugs, they should be avoided.
This is illustrated by the op who I feel paints the entire warrior playerbase properly - only worried about dps and happy to brag about even the most insignificant victories.

The gear scaling in this xpac is pretty dramatic over what was seen in previous xpacs. 10-15 ilvls over your peers, especially if the difference comes from good trinkets and set bonuses, can be as crazy as quadrupling your dps. I remember at the beginning of this xpac before I had ilvl600, I could not kill the lich king on heroic 25. Now that I have ilvl695, I can kill him in 5 seconds flat. Literally 3-4 globals and he is dead.
