BM hunter damage without t17 4-set.

Hi. has anyone done any sims how BM hunter damage is compared to other oclasses/specs without the 4set?
I know simulationcraft sims show that BM hunter is on par with others, but I imagine it would be marginally different without the 4-set.
I'm asking this because I'm in love with BM, but it would suck if I had to get my tier set to do reasonable dmg compared to others. Also, I don't see myself getting the 4set in near future anyway due to competition for the gear.

2-PC is extremely important. I played without a 4Pc and did fine for a while. Survival is close without the 4Pc.

It all depends on the gear you have. Best answer is sim youself. My second alt hunter sims 1,5k higher on bm then on sv even without tier pieces.
