Beast Mastery Question

Hello guys,

Since mastery is the top prio stat for bm hunters, is the best pet also a cat then?
for the mastery buff?

I use a spirit beast as I get mastery and the spirit mend small heal that I macro into a shot.

Spirit Beast is indeed the best because it grants Crit and Mastery at once, plus the heal is nice while soloing.

In a raid however, you will bring whatever your team needs (possibly Core Hound for Bloodlust, or Quillen for Battle Rez, for example). In PvP, T-Rex is often used over Spirit Beast for its Mortal Strike effect in offensive play.
