Wonder if there'll be alternate gender skins for D3 PCs

Would be neat to have all the possible D3 PC models represented.

I think it's more likely they would get added in as a separate hero. Each D3 class has more than enough abilities to build multiple kits with.

Also WTB D2 heroes. I want a fucking Necro hero so bad.

At one point a long time ago, they did say they planned to have a male barbarian and a female witchdoctor skin. They didn't say anything about Demon Hunter, and of course Joanna hadn't been announced yet then, and there's still no Monk or Wizard.

They never gave an ETA for those skins and if I had to guess, it's probably lower priority than the cool unique skins since probably people are more enthusiastic for those than a simple gender swap.

As for when they said this, I want to say it was at the Blizzcon when they announced Heroes of the Storm as its own game project, separating it out from the previous incarnation as "Blizzard Allstars." But it was a very long time ago and I'm operating from memory so I can't offer any sources and it's possible I'm mistaken.

This was exactly my thought. Notice that originally, the heroes were named "Witch Doctor" and "Demon Hunter" instead of their names; I don't feel like that change was solely cosmetic. They're likely keeping their options open for more hero designs.

I agree, I would love to see a whole set of oppositely created genders have different move set. They do definitely have enough moves in D3 that they could bring over. And hopefully female Nazeebo will have zombie bears! I loved that spell.

Also I am actually kinda surprised that female D3 Diablo was not a default purchasable skin for regular D2 Diablo. Kudos I guess

    Absolutely. Including Diablo!

Personally I'd rather have skins, while it's true that there's enough skills/runes in D3 to make a whole new hero they'd still be broadly similar to the current ones.

IMO they should make the hero skill trees a bit more variable so you could really change up the gameplay of the D3 heroes to bring in some of their currently unrepresented moves etc.

Could not agree more on the Necro. And Javazon.

Also, can we bring in the D3 followers? Lyndon would be fucking awesome. Maybe they could even make all three of them a Lost Vikings style triple hero...

Pirahnas with the Bogadile rune pls

Maybe they could do some of these via talents.

Is there any reason heroes have to have only 2 ultis...?

Maybe for demon hunter and witch doctor.

They'll probably add the paladin and barbarian from D2 as actual heroes and they'd act as the alternate gender for the D3 crusader and barbarian.

There's that necromancer we run into in act2 and 5 that could become a HotS hero for sure. As for the genders, I agree that there are tons of spells they can use to make new heroes. I really expected Crusader to have Blessed Hammer for example. As for Kormac, I think he'd be a pretty cool support/warrior hybrid. He has his charge that heals a nearby ally, a regular heal, HP regen aura, a hard hitting ability, an aoe stun and a slow (assuming taunt and resource regen are not useable). That's a decent basis to make a hero I'd say.

Before any of the 3 followers get added I'd love to see all 7 evils though. Mephisto, Baal, Andariel and Duriel just to see them with a new model.

It would be awesome! Diablo 2 Paladin would be awesome as aura support. Male barbarian ("Kronan"), could have Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 skins. I hope also for Diablo 2 Druid (shapeshifting into werewolf, a melee assassin), Assassin (trapmaking specialist or assassin, but I see her as very hard specialist), and Necromancer of course, as a specialist, too. Sorceress (lightning or maybe even combining three elements, fire, ice and lighting) would of course rock, too, there's never too many mages on the battlefield.

About Amazon, I was hoping for melee spear fighting Amazon and her ultimate ability could be summoning a Valkyrie, but since Nova will be getting Amazon skin... well, I know Illidan and Malfurion have mirror skins, but I'm afraid that this Nova's upcoming skin cancels adding Amazon hero into game.

    Anyway, who knows, who knows.

The Male Barbarian has been in several pieces of promotional art and I believe he has client strings in the game files, unclear still whether they intend to make him a skin or a hero though. Even if one was their plan once, they may have changed to the other or neither.

To be totally honest they could make Rule 63 skins for every hero in the game and shove em in a massive bundle.

I for one would be sorely tempted to buy it.

I think it would be a bit on the "easy way out" side of things if they just made gender swaps. There's so many cool (currently not included) abilities and/or mechanics that could make a completely different hero with the alternate gender.

That said, there are also SOOOOOOO many other heroes that would be ahead of that in priority. I'm pretty sure the community would be pissed if 1 character from Diablo effectively had 2 Heroes characters before some really big names from any of the other games.
