C'thun true form is absolutely monstrous.

    http://assets1.ignimgs.com/2015/01/0...jpg-7f7769.jpg

This is a preview from the upcoming Warcraft Chronicles book that's coming out later this year (and yes, the preview was publicly released). C'thun is looking absolutely monstrous, and is at least 1000x bigger than what we saw in game (ancient aqir kingdom looks like it spanned across the whole of Silithus as well, and maybe Tanaris and Uldum as well). One question remains, how did the titans bury something of that size? (Yogg is assumed to be the size of Northrend, but up until now we never saw official art of Old Gods' true forms.)

Maybe they had a shrink ray?
Gnomish off course Lucky it didn't backfire though

Wow. The art style is sweet.
    C'thun looks pissed.

Well such a weird place this "black empire". I really wait for the Chronicles book, the black empire lore intrigues me a lot, and as We see in this artwork the old gods have various shifting forms. And God, maybe We will see N'Zoth!

I know very little about old god lore except for what I pick up here and there.

C thun is a bunch of Eyes
Yogg was a bunch of mouths
Next Old god is probably a bunch of noses
Old god after that could be ears

Could they combine to form a giant angry face?

(Seriously though, are the old gods chummy chummy and want to connect to make a super being or do they not talk to each other?)

I've been under the impression, since vanilla, that what we fight of the old gods is merely a small portion of their whole size. Like, we're fighting a tree's branch (or leaf), not the whole tree. And I've also held the impression that Old Gods have grown to tremendous size underground, like tectonic-plate-wide root system, kinda like the bug god from starship troopers 2 (the movie is... too bad to recommend, I got a good image by searching "starship troopers planet scan" on google images).

Wait.. Are you sure he's C'thun? Because yes is similar, but not the same exact apparence. Maybe is a even more powerful OG
Edit: starship troopers is a fantastic book! A great way better than the film. The story is even different.

You think he's the OG of OGs? Looks pretty BA.

Yes there are theory about a gigantic old god who is behind the scenes and infests the whole planet. Or at least its core there could even be a ranking among the OGs

They forge planets. This is big, but it's not planet big. I'm sure it would still take some work, but it's not something beyond their power.

Y'shaarj was a bunch of heads.

Given how infested Azeroth is with Old Gods, is it ever stated that beyond being 'cosmic entities' or such that other planets have infestations as well? As an example, we know that the Burning Legion has bounced from world to world but is there anything to say that Old Gods were on any other world especially to the extent of Azeroth? (I know the Arrakoa were trying to summon one in SMV)
A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon.

It's likely C'Thun. The Old Gods may have been larger and more powerful in the past before their defeat by the Titans. C'Thun was thought to have been slain, and the Titan facility of Uldum was constructed in part to contain his body - he may have been blasted into remnants like Y'Shaarj, but there was enough of C'Thun left to eventually regenerate and return to life. That could be why the C'Thun we fought in AQ was much smaller - he was nowhere near fully regenerated to his previous level of power.

As for the Titans burying them - the Titans reshape entire worlds, sculpting continents and dredging out seas. Even if the Old Gods are as large as mountains, the Titans can sink them deep beneath the surface and build their prison-cities over top of them.

They certainly can appear on other worlds, but it isn't know if they've infested other worlds to the extent that Azeroth was. It was mentioned that the Titans have faced the Old Gods before coming to Azeroth though.

C'thun would be one of the bosses I would be more then happy with them redoing.. with all the new ways they have to make boss fights fun/challenging... would be a good one to remake

And when placed together, you can hear it's cries of "WHY IS THAT MOUNT ON THE BLIZZARD STORE?! WHERE'S THE CONTENT?!"

    Heheheheh.

They've fought wars against each other in the distant past.
They don't seem to work together a ton, C'thun, Yogg and Y'shaarj appear to stick to their respective regions. N'zoth seems more ambitious about spreading his influence through 3rd parties.

That wouldn't be much of a fight.
Just your entire party being one-shot.

It would have to be some sort of epic airship battle or something. People can say what they want about Spine of Deathwing, but I liked that it actually tried to address the scale of the enemy we were fighting, and not just having us slap the foot of a giant while the tank is relatively unharmed by its stomps.

I don't see what's particularly more monstrous about this C'Thun, he mostly just looks bigger (and is well-drawn instead of being a very dated 3D model). It's a much better mood piece than what we've gotten in game against the Old Gods yet. It really helps contrast their ruling in the past. I'm not a big fan of the Old Gods, but I hope Ny'alotha has this kind of look when we get there.
