help w/ uograding

Hey guys. So looking to upgrade but not sure what next

Currently

Fx8120 cpu (slight overclock)
7950 twin froze boost 3G
G.skill sniper team 8G

I still run most games I play on max-high settings
I.e cs go StarCraft 2 diablo 3.. I ran BF 3 on almost max with no issue when I played so it's gotten me 3-4 solid years.

I have around 300-400 to spend.. What would b my best upgrade

I was thinking i5 + mobo or upgrade to a fx8350

Or fork out and get a 970 or 290x

FX8350 isn't worth it as a standalone purchase, much less a couple hundred dollar sidegrade. It'd be better than the FX8120, no doubt, but definitely not worth it unless you are literally getting it for free.

An upgrade to an i5 processor will give you a solid boost in WoW and SC2, and will serve as a better platform for other games you play. I'd hold off on GPU upgrades for right now. Get a K-series i5 and you'll be able to ride out the HD 7950 for probably another two GPU generations or so.
