I don't get why people get upset, if you watch GoT you know the show isn't shy of showing cruelty. Its like watching porn and complain about the naked bodies.

She's done even less in the books. She's just sitting in the Eyrie waiting for Littlefinger to do more things. And she's JUST BARELY beginning to understand the Game as she sits around watching Littlefinger lie to everybody and manipulate things in the Vale.

Whereas in the show she's already playing the Game. Which is funny because people don't seem to understand she willingly chose to marry Ramsay when given the option by Littlefinger. And even after seeing all the terrible things going on in Winterfell (Like Theon becoming a torture slave or Myranda telling her all of the lovers Ramsay has brutally murdered), she willingly chose to stay behind and get married despite knowing she could light the candle in the tallest tower and be helped by Brienne (Although she didn't know it was her).

So it makes me giggle when people keep talking about how her agency has been taken away. She didn't get her innocence stolen from her. She willing sacrificed it to stay near the Boltons to eventually enact her revenge, which is clear she wants from her conversation with Littlefinger when he tells her to decide whether or not to go to Winterfell. She was raped for all intents and purposes, but she didn't protest to Ramsay ripping her clothes off or bending her over. Because she's letting it happen in order to stay as close to the Boltons as she is now.

At least we all can agree that the Sand Snakes scene was maybe the worst moment of the entire show acting wise.

Thing is, some stuff that happens in the tv show are just absurd, and make no sense if you read the books. Imagine if Peter Jackson decided to merge Legolas and Gimlin into just one character, or just remove Gandalf entirely from his version, adding some 'wisdom' and speeches to Frodo? Oh, and Sauron was just a hobbit that turned evil due to a curse. That's what the TV Show is doing to the books, they are altering and removing so much, that some bits are just completely whacky for whoever read the books.

It's a parody of itself, at least the storylines are getting 'unexpected' lol. The good thing is... when something is accurately adapted to the tv show... and you get to see a certain scene, hear a certain dialogue, or a certain 'twist', perfectly adapted from the book... it just comes together and makes you happy to see the scene come to life. Other times, you get Xena... err, i mean, the sand hoes :\

It wasn't really rape either, she married him, knew they were gonna have sex, she undressed rather slowly, he didn't wanna wait, he had rough sex with her, she cried because it hurts. I wonder if she expected Ramsay to make sweet passionate love to her..
Being married to someone /=/ consensual sex. The fact that you and others think this way actually makes me worried for humankind.

Why the hell did you make a new GoT thread...
Yes it's weird. BUT. In all honestly, Feast and Dance with Dances are two terrible boring books. It's all obviously leading up to Winds and whatever the following one is called.
They're making the most of the scripts they could use, whilst trying to make it a little more interesting for the non-readers. But really aren't hitting the mark.
Terrible Sand Snake casting, and book readers using nostalgia goggles when believing that the books that this season was based on were actually interesting at all...

Book spoilers of Season 5 (Feast/Dance)
Samwell on a boat... Tyrion on a boat, then a slave boat... Dany getting married... Jon dealing with Stannis... Stannis chilling in snow... Ayra being Cat... Sansa chilling in the vale... Jamie's thought process was 'she's been fucking Lancel and Osmund Kettleblack and probably Moon Boy for all I know'... Cersei's lesbian experience and crappy religious plot... Reek chilling with Jayne
They really weren't good. Especially after how crazy Book 4//End of Season 3/ Season 4 was.
We stopped searching for monsters under our beds when we realized that they were inside us.

Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?

But Jackson did remove useless fluff from the LotR. Notably: Tom Bombadil and the Scouring of the Shire.

Don't know why you think trimming back characters that Martin has been systematically multiplying beyond reason (probably because of his fetish for killing people off) is a bad thing.

Its not like I dont know about marital rape, I'm saying she married him, and by doing that she knew what was going to happen. She lucked out with tyrion, even Ramsay thought she was lying about her virginity. Guess he found out she wasn't now though.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but why was it rape? I have heard everyone and their dog say this but she freely gave herself to him? :S

No, because in their minds, Theon was an asshole who deserved it while Sansa is innocent and nothing bad happens to innocent people (they say while ignoring the shit ton of bad shit that happens in the first four seasons . . . )

Dude, everyone knows that a guy getting castrated is hilarious. Just ask Sharon Osbourne.

It's not rape by the standards of the world the narrative is set in. It really isn't. In that world, if a couple gets married, it's expected they consummate the marriage on the wedding night. Sansa knows this. You know this. Jesus, do you not remember the big deal Ned was for refusing to do this to Cat? People do this in Westeros. And get over it. Seriously, it's like naive children watching the show all over again from season 1. One would've expected you'd learned your lessons then.

And just to add some salt to your wounds; if you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention. Take that simple thought into every GoT scene, and you'll emerge emotionally unscathed.

Sansa may have not been a bad person, but she's been making stupid decisions after stupid decisions, at some point you'll stop being lucky.

Won't argue with that. She, in the show and the books, never struck me as intelligent. Naive to a fault.

I actually think her decision to marry Ramsay was pretty smart. She didn't know how he was, but its very clear she's purposefully positioned herself to try and get revenge.

I don't think Dark Sansa is gone at all, as people seem to be just broadly claiming after the last episode. I think she's just biding her time.

But before Littlefinger got her to the Vale? Yeah, most decisions were pretty dumb. Although she was fairly competent at appeasing Joffrey early on, like with Dontos.

Sansa's character in the book, was built to that particular state of being for a reason. I expect her to have an important role in Winds of Winter.
