Windows Exclusive games (xbox one & pc together)

Since E3 microsoft made it so most if not all xbox exclusives going forward will be available on windows 10 and also share save progression which made me really happy (about time tbh...) "buy this on the xbox abd u get it on windows 10 as well" is basically what they said.

So the question is that (What if I buy lets say ReCore Collector's Edition which so far there is only the Xbox One version, is there some kind of code going to be inside that allows me to play it on my PC ?) been searching for an answer for this but so far nothing found.

I think it's specifically those games that gets mentioned. Windows wants to promote their UWP platform and so this is one way to go about it.

Its tied to your Microsoft / Windows Live Account as far as I know.

If it works like Quantum Break did, then you only get the free PC version if you buy digitally and it takes like a full week or longer for them to email you the code.

I do believe its only digital copy's.

Also they make it sound like if you want to play the games online you will have to pay for XBL since the Win10 games will cross-play with XB1.

Not sure about other games, but I can play Killer Instinct on PC just fine and it does not require XBL. I'm assuming you just need the XBL membership if you are using the XBONE.

Killer Instinct doesn't require XBL Gold on Xbone, no f2p game does.

I just want Madden to start coming out for PC and I can go buy a pc controller .....than I'd never even buy another console. Because all the shooters and strategy games I play are all on my PC, but I still just love playing a few games of Madden with my friends.

Madden has nothing to do with this thread. This only applies to MS published games.

EA is still not likely to bring Madden, UFC, NHL or most of their sports franchises to PC any time soon. Pretty sure the only reason they do it with FIFA is due to PCs having majority market share in places like eastern europe, south america and what not.

It's PSN that doesn't require PS+ for F2P games.
Warframe, World of Tanks don't require PS+ to play online/with others.
PSO2 / Dragon's Dogma don't require it also as further example.

I only know because KI is the only game I play online on my XB1 and I stopped paying for gold long ago. And yes, I have everything unlocked.
