    Hair : what's the problem ?

Some time ago, there was a bunch of colleagues chatting and I joined them. The subject was " hair ", mostly pubic, but torso for men, and even underarm. I realized that most of my male colleagues (mostly 10 years younger than me), and the girls were mostly agains " hair ". One of the girls said she took her boyfriends to the beautician for global epilation, the guys largely preferred totally shaved pussies (not sure pussy remains a corresponding name then ), and so on.

The thing that annoyed me was that it wasn't a matter of personal preference but having hair became something condemnable for some. Not " I prefer without ", but definitively " hair means dirty ". At the same time, there's a big " beard " mood. I didn't get it. Came back to my office and checked the internet, and it seems to be a reality that came with porn. Years ago, porn took the " all shaved " direction, so that people saw " better " and " bigger " without hair. And younger people followed (even if some probably don't know why), probably inspired.

I don't like the idea of being considered dirty by some because I'm not shaved " from torso to under the belt ", I think it's a bad (bald ? haha) shortcut. I personnally don't like women shaved as if they were pre-teenagers ... yuck. But that's their choice, if they feel better so.

What do you think about that " no hair " tendency, is it real, improving, generalizing, or juste a mood ?

There was one, but I can't edit the Poll nor was I able to delete it to do it again. I contacted a moderator. It was " I don't care, it doesn't matter ".

Body hair is natural, but I find excessive body hair on men a bit gross, particularly hairy shoulders and back. If I had that I'd definitely shave it off.

Hairy armpits on women, nope, not a fan. Hair down below, if you're not gonna shave it off then at least trim it occasionally

Doesn't matter if you like it or not.
It is better for your own hygiene it is a fact not a statement.

I'm pro shaving 1st because it does look way better and second because it is more hygienic.

Body hair can be awesome! It can also not be awesome though. Just up to you what you want to do with it I think. Its sad when people get made to feel bad because they dont want to shave some area or they want to shave some other area etc.

I don't believe it to be a thing that arrived when porn did it, It's just something that a lot of people prefer, I personally prefer a woman to be at least trimmed, I don't like pulling pubes out of my mouth, no thanks:P Plus my woman prefers I do some manscaping because why would you wanna suck on some hairy nuts?:P Or get nose tickled each time you gave your man some head?

I prefer shaved legs and armpits on women. Pubes I like trimmed, but not shaven.

Not an issue of hygiene or dirtiness, just general preference.

It is a tendency, which I personally don't like, but humanity went through a lot of weird and unhealthy fashion trends.

A lot of bad trends came from porn. Silicone boobs, big penis obsession, the idea sex is all about long hard penetration, so all the pills, creams, injections for extending the intercourse / erection duration, the idea girl needs to moan and have vaginal orgasm, and if she doesn't, well dude get a bigger dick and f*ck her longer, etc. Porn is fake but people think it's an example of how sex should be. Shaving hair to match porn stars is less harmful than getting genital plastic surgery, but they're within similar trend, namely how to match something that is a sexual fantasy and not reality.

People should choose what they prefer and what makes them feel best when it comes to stuff like pubic hair or male beards. Beards is another thing subject to fashion, we had times when "a true man" should be: shaved clean, have 3-day stubble, have full beard, etc. Female fashions and what do they do with their hair is even longer story... Just watch movies from various timeframes and you'll see if hair should be short, long, curly, wavy, straightened, what colour it should have and so on.

I don't feel like flossing every time I want to do some licking/sucking/whatever you can think of.

As a guy, I only have hair on my legs, arms, and head. Everything is shaved. I like my girls to have everything shaved too.

I don't think people who chose to not shave are dirty, I just don't find that look attractive. I can't really explain why I like a clean shaven person, I guess I associate it with prep time and maintenance for one's self. And I like the idea of a love interest that takes care of their body. Just as much as I take care of mine.

I don't shave anything except my beard when it gets too long, I just don't care anywhere else but my beard gets messy after a certain length. If a girl doesn't want to go down, I'll trim the next time, it's not a big deal. I don't expect women to shave necessarily either, I've had some great encounters with all different lengths, enough to not assume a preference immediately. One of the most chilled out and confident women I ever knew didn't shave her armpits, it didn't change anything for me.

I shaved my legs once after a no-gi competition, didn't think it really helped though. Reason being, grappling without a gi on, I would sweat profusely, and then have time to catch my breath and quit sweating. Well eventually your legs become like sand paper, and start rubbing against the other persons and my leg hairs would just rip out... was freaking awful.
Beyond that one time though, I don't shave my body hair, and I don't care if the women I'm with shave theirs. I don't look like a yeti or anything, and I probably wouldn't be attracted to a woman, who could keep warm nude in the winter, but letting the forest reclaim the land never mattered to me at all.
As far as other people's opinions on it, I know a lot of the females I know think it looks dirty or whatever. At the same time though I think it is a matter of lots of guys who shave and are well groomed, also take care of their skin much more frequently then guys who don't groom their body hair. Not saying that is a 100% thing, just a general bet I would take.

Also you're wrong, the people who agree with you are wrong, and you're probably ugly.
Ever been so angry at everyone on the internet you tell a woman she is mansplaining?

Styles change over time. It really matters in the club scene, but doesn't matter as much outside of the club scene.

One time beards were favorable, then clean shaven faces were in style. I don't think it matters a whole lot.

Unshaven legs on a woman startles me, I must admit.

I have to have some form of beard because genetics doesn't want me to have hair on my head. Beyond that, I just really like the feeling of having my stomach, chest and pubes/balls shaved. I've never gone near the arm pits though, not sure why...

As for other men/women, it's the same deal really, I just prefer clean shaven-ness, but it's not mandatory or any shit, I'd want them to feel comfortable. Plucking pubes out of your teeth isn't exactly the best end to a session though.

I think pubic hair should be neatly trimmed, but not necessarily entirely shaven off. As for body hair... I don't see why a man should shave his entire body (especially arms and legs, you could argue about the torso though). That seems a bit like some kind of girly thing to me.

    My opinion:
Girls: Legs & armpits all gone, private part all gone or trimmed in a landing strip or whatever you fancy. (feel free to let everything grow if you are >35 or married)
Men: private parts all gone or trimmed, back and chest depends on the person and the amount of hair, armpits depends on the person. legs and hands hairy unless you are a bodybuilder with like <10% bodyfat.

I as a man do not like long hair or trimmed hair in my armpits, so i shave them, same goes for private parts. back is no problem and chest looks silly with those few hairs...

I definitely prefer men to be hairy, I just find it much more masculine.
As for women, shaving armpits reduces the sweat smell, as the bacteria sticks to the hairs more easily, so I always shave there. Shaving downstairs can be harmful though, making it easier for bacteria and fungi to get in, so requires much more work to keep clean. Not to mention that you have to shave just about every day to keep it smooth and not stubbly. Just not worth it to me, and luckily my boyfriend doesn't mind hair either

(Still keeping it tidy, of course, trimming it)

A man with chest/abdomen hair makes me go wobbly so I'm against shaving those parts.
Pubic area should not be bald. I like men, not boys. A trim can be nice, but it's not a requirement for me.

Sometimes when I walk though my local town, I look around conducting a little experiment. Its called "Spot how many men their are with long hair and beards compared to women with long hair"
The results is almost always the same, women score between 70-90% of having long hair, men usually only around 3-10%, very, very rarely you see guys with long hair.

its a stigma of modern day culture that its okay for women to do what they like with their hair, while men hafe to conform to a social 'norm'.

I just say fuck it, I grow my hair, and my beard, and wear it proudly as a non-conformist.
