Well good news then! You got whole new zone and raid just for you, congratulations!

They had a pretty decently working day/night cycle during vanilla. The added weather effects where also really cool. No idea why they didn't continue with that. Could it been a any-pc-can-run-Wow related performance thing?

The devs you ADDED, and the amount of content produced is why resources are misallocated. Excuses dont help
You don't know that. You can give feedback about the game w/o inventing reasons why the game is as it is. (CM_Zarhym)
Then tell us what's up instead of:

Which seems like such an obvious design decision that it's perplexing this didn't happen in the first place.
Development is a complex and peculiar beast, with many heads, and some breathe fire. (Muffinus)
People want answers but they are not giving any so they are "inventing" the answers themselves. Muffinus answer is funny (fire breathing three headed beast analogy) but it doesn't give me any hope of things getting any better. He basically just says it's hard... Oke... I don't really care.

They changed how lighting worked a couple of expansions ago, which had the consequence of changing how the zones looked during the night. It has not been a high priority issue, which is why it's taken so long to fix.

Maybe this is reaction of Blizzard on http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/17605675014#1

The only one that made a very big difference is the Barrens one. I think they need to do that kind of drastic change to all the zones for nighttime. The other pics shown in this new post aren't that "night-timey". The Barrens one actually makes the light sources be of some use and it makes it look eerie and more night-y. What you guys think?

I wonder why you post comments of Ghostcrawler. Why even take his interview? He's nobody now, just some random dude working on some random moba. What he could know about current state, path and ideas in WoW's development? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, nothing. Stop it, please, it really looks like fan-based praising of some sort.

His answers are giving more of an idea of what might be going on, and it's interesting, especially him talking about the 'argument culture" there, and admitting outright he went to far homogenizing the classes. I'd rather have his posts, then the "Oh, look, Zarhym is being an asshole again" posts.

And, for a "random dude", his resume is a hell of a lot more impressive as a game designer than yours.

But, thankfully, it's chaud's call, not yours. So there's that.

Ooh. More simple things like this that make the game world come alive! Always wondered why nights are so bright.

Communication about Blizzard's games should come through official Blizzard channels. These ridiculous twitter questions and snarky responses do nothing to help anyone, other than to raise the stature of the devs, presumably so it will help them gain a promotion, or a better job at another company.

Equally, someone at Riot needs to have a polite word in Greg Street's ear. He has a job to do, and should focus on it. Ghostcrawler was just as vilified as Watcher and Holinka currently are, if you remember correctly. He should not be constantly consulted by the WoW fanbase as some sort of revered figure.

I care about roleplay "shit".. after all WOW is suppose to be a MMORPG. Maybe COD or Overwatch is more up your alley?

I remember correctly, and he was nothing like today's clowns.

Call me when they add back the intense raining from vanilla

How do you know he's posting during work hours?

Aww, was hoping for a bit darker. And for Durotar to look blue rather than red. Ah well, it's a step~

I've been campaigning for a couple of years about darker nights, its about fucking time they listened!

I'm all for darker nights, but I don't like the palette swap form Mulgore and the Barrens. Those zones have always looked moon-touched, and now they just look gross. You can make them darker without making them brown. Org looks cool though.

Totally agree. That's what leaped out at me too. Darker nights are cool, but those lighting changes are just gross. Mulgore and the Barrens were beautiful at night, and this makes them look like really unpleasant places to be. Hopefully these changes aren't final.
