Popular grindy non asian MMORPG's

Hey there,

I am looking for a MMORPG that is pretty busy, has like a feeling of rewarding of getting stronger, getting new skills and so on.
And is not asian themed (because i don't find those as cool as games like WoW, aka i dont need to see massive boobed girls)

Any good, free to play MMORPG's out there to consume time in?

He did say free and wildstar wont be free until the Fall. But I do agree about wildstar if you can hold off until the fall to play it :P

I mean by today's standards I suppose Wildstar would be 'grindy'. I think that is going free to play in the future as well. Not many non-asian MMOs go the grindy route. It isn't like the days of Everquest 1.

It is fine to be asian but not to much asiany... like i remember this MMORPG where you could tame monsters to fight for ya, but i forgot its name..

Black desert is "asian" but it's going to be the only game to your standards. It has a death penelty system so you will continually feel like you are getting stronger

Does anyone know the 2006 version of Maplestory? I loved that when i was a child.
Sometimes took days to level up 1 level, and then you even had 200 levels!

I was thinking a game that isn't on spotlights, like no Rift, Wildstar, Guild Wars, because if we gonna talk about known games, then i rather stay with World of Warcraft.
I want something next to WoW.

And feels like a world, normal areas and such

The only major MMO on the market without a necessary or compulsive grind mechanism(s) is Guild Wars 2. Every other one needs to have an embedded system for long term play to sustain their business model.

I like grind though, back when i was 10 i used to play maplestory and had to kill like 20.000 creatures before i could get 1 level up.
Sometimes took days while grinding for like 5 hours a day just to get 1 level up.

It's fun to get to high level when you know it's hard to get there I like to show off!

As I said above, almost all MMOs on the current market are such with scant few exceptions. Pick any with an art style pleasing to your tastes.

The market has progressed to the point that one is essentially choosing the theme they would like to play in an MMO.

Can you name any good ones so i can like look them up?
Like some that aren't known? Like i know standard GW, SWTOR, Rift, Wildstar games.
But there are plenty more out there, idk those!

You could try Tibia, its a very grindy MMO its in 3rd person and can be played in a browser if you wanted. Player housing, guild housing, Huge world with lots of cool looking npcs. Also to cast spells you actually say the spell name. Same goes to be said when talking to an npc.

I do would like some graphics on it haha, not that i am a graphic kinda guy, but i don't like browser games kinda graphics
