On Saturday, video was uploaded to Youtube of police officers screaming at and arresting children at a community pool in Texas. One officer, confronted by two boys while grabbing a young girl by the neck and shoving her head towards the ground, pulls his gun and points it at them.

First responding officers encountered a large crowd that refused to comply with police commands. Nine additional units responded to the scene. Officers were eventually able to gain control of the situation.

McKinney Police later learned of a video that was taken at the scene by an unknown party. This video has raised concerns that are being investigated by the McKinney Police Department. At this time, one of the responding officers has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this investigation.

Even though I understand your sentiment and also agree, I also KIND OF see the person you quoted's point. Considering the amount of reports of police brutality or officers just abusing their powers as of late, I personally would just give in.

I'm not trying to be another example of what's wrong with cops and have my own personal video of my experience plastered everywhere. It sucks, I definitely am for change in their tactics, but I'm not trying to be another minority on the wall of unfair shit.

Update, 2:05 p.m. – Buzzfeed News spoke to Brandon Brooks, who uploaded the video to Youtube. “I think a bunch of white parents were angry that a bunch of black kids who don’t live in the neighborhood were in the pool,” he said. “Everyone who was getting put on the ground was black, Mexican, Arabic,” he said. “[The cop] didn’t even look at me. It was kind of like I was invisible.” Brooks is white.

I see a bunch of white cops, doing summersaults like in an action movie, racing into a crowd of predominately non-white teenagers, then arm-baring visibly unarmed girls 80 pounds lighter than him in bikinis to the ground face first for not cow-towing to the demands of a deranged Die Hard wannabe that whips out his taser because someone is walking 12 feet away from him.

To be fair, it is my title, i didn't rip it off, and i crafted it after watching the video and reading the statements from the white kid taping the incident.

Every single cop ignored him outright, and gave him a wide berth.

At first it was a little confusing, as all the other looky-loos with cameras were being screamed at to GTFO or go to jail, then i learned he was white, and it all made sense.

Yeah it seemed like that to me. The one cop was just out of control. What was the original call even about. All I see in this video is that apparently a bunch of kids ran when the cops showed up so he decided it was time for some wild wild west justice. Shit like this is going to get cops beaten to death by mobs of disgruntled citizens.

Every person advocating less force or less use of weapons, should watch a police training video explaining how fast a situation can go out of hand. There is one with a reporter, who has to act as an officer. He dies ALL of the tries, and most of them seem SUPER fucking calm and non-suspicious.
