You want as much armor penetration and shadow resistance as you can get.

Most wanted: Intellect
Next most wanted: Mastery, Haste, Crit
Least wanted: Multistrike, Versatility
Unwanted: everything else (except stamina)
As a very very general guide for leveling.
Stamina will come with the other gear.I am the one who knocks ... because I need your permission to enter.

Closing this. Count Zero gave a pretty basic outline if you're leveling and if you want further information per spec once you level up each spec thread has stat priorities there as well.
