    Stephen Fry and husband face homophobia on honeymoon

    I love Stephen Fry don't get me wrong but even I find his marriage to 27 y/o toyboy awkward. It kinda reinforces the stereotype of an old rich gay man getting with a guy considerably younger. Perhaps it's just pure cynicism that Stephen Fry is flattened for pulling young totty and Elliott now has a rich sugar daddy, perhaps they're indeed in love /shrug Just from personal experience these type of relationships always seemingly based on fetish, ego, money rather than love, compatibility and trust. Don't get me wrong I don't mind age gaps, it's just when an age gap exceeds 15 years I get cynical. Again this is personal opinion on personal experience. Irrespective it's horrendous the pair had to cut their honeymoon short due to bigoted twats

    I don't see the problem. So he's older than his partner, the have been many many happy straight couples with a bigger age difference.

    I don't think the age gap has anything to do with homophobia though, I guess I don't see the same stereotype you do but it seems very common regardless of sexuality.

    Not saying it doesn't happen to straight, though 'chicken chasing' is rife in the gay community. FYI I find 60 y/o banding 20 y/o women creepy too. As I say personal opinion it's their life

    about the age gap. ive had 3 teachers that ware 10 years older then there partners, and they ware fucking happy.
    i asked one of them in 10th grade one time and she said
    "i love him, and he loves me. the fact hes 10 years younger then me and still loves me? it makes me even more happy, it means he loves me for who i am, and not for what i am."
