If you're just going to spout out baseless accusations about the man, I really don't see us having a productive conversation.

As someone that actually watches him, I've seen him support forms of gun control, I've seen him defend Obama claiming he "gets too much" from Republicans, and he has even supported gay adoption for well over a decade now. The guy is not the big bad conservative propaganda machine that you make him out to be.

Choosing to work for Fox News or Rupert Murdoch makes one bad enough. That's all the evidence anyone needs.

Now you're being ridiculous. Alan Colmes works for Fox News, yet he's very liberal. Used to be a good foil to Hannity, too bad they don't run that show anymore.

The sad part is, Bill O'Reilly is fairly smart guy. If you get him away from Fox News he moderates significantly (or, perhaps he simply realizes that he can't simply control the narrative by shouting louder on other peoples' shows). His entire show, his entire on-air personality, it's just using gullible people for self-enrichment. And they lap it up.

As far as discussions about race in America, they're simply not productive. The two sides just fundamentally disagree not only on potential solutions to the problem, but whether or not a problem even exists. There is no discussion possible when the other side doesn't believe there's anything to talk about. So you're left either arguing fruitlessly with somebody who refuses to even accept your premise, or talking to your own echo chamber.

We won't convince the other side. Any progress is going to have to be made in spite of them.

Race wars are boring. Now if we had a war while racing, that'd be awesome.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.

    Just, be kind.

The man is a bellowing whale of opinions and tantrums. His strategy is to cause an uproar, get views, top ratings, and bait the masses into his tank of loaded talking points.

The man is good at what he does, regardless of what you think of his practices and opinions on various subjects. Look at this thread. You've been baited. O'Reiley is a shitlord even by his own party's standards.

The man is smart because what he does works. Not because his opinions actually have any ground to stand on. His intellect is based on how he can rile people up, over blow topics over the atmosphere and lure people into whatever gimmick he's pushing. He can claim all sorts of nonsense he wants because he speaks the loudest and because for some reason Fox News has a rather large viewer base by some unnatural will. However, he has a purpose and you fell for it.

The best thing to do is to laugh it off, and watch some cat videos. Those are much more insightful.

In it, he said he believes some on the “far left”—(...)—are promoting the idea that “white Americans are actively trying to keep black Americans down.”
Bias or not, anyone who spreads or believes that kind of bull can't possibly be anything else than such an utterly a worthles pile of shit that they deserve to be not only opposed, but also downright insulted and openly loathed every single day for the rest of their worthless, miserable lives.

Had to let off some steam. These shitty liars don't deserve to be treated diplomatically.
