For next week, they're predicting temperatures of 30 degrees and higher in Belgium (and probably much of Western Europe as well). I checked some predictions, and the local temperatures can in some places get higher than in subSaharan Africa (where my parents are going next week).
I have an airconditioning unit, but it's too bulky to get to my room. I also can't install a portable version for various reasons.
My room is about 15 by 13 feet, a 3 pane window with the middle pane opening looking over the East and a door in the southwest corner to a hallway. I need a way to keep this room cool while the weather is so hot. Would it help if I moisten some towels and hang them in various places, so the evaporating water can absorb some heat from the room?
