Im so bored.... What has this MMO become.

So first things first not hating on Wow but why has it become so boring, yet so easy to get things. I have been a long time player since Vannila and the only exp I liked was BC and WOTLK. I remember when raids took months to clear and when Epics where not like candy, that feeling when some guy running around with Tier 5 while you where trying so hard to get Tier 4 and wanted to be that guy. Its just not there anymore.

What about when all the gear was not in the same raid but with different modes. Such as Karazan, SSC, TM you know. Same goes for PVP "o that guy has that gear I can get that if I grind enough" You can now get Conquest points straight from Ashran and RBG Farming without entering a Arena match. I thought conquest points was all about Arena and Rated BGs. Guess not now.

Im just saying, WOD is boring and when will we have that "OMG" factor again. I have stopped paying with real cash since its not worth my money. I only pay with gold that I make from my dumb garrisons and alts. But can I be screwed doing that a few hours a day now....dont think so.

Im just saying, WOD is boring and when will we have that "OMG" factor again. I have stopped paying with real cash since its not worth my money. I only pay with gold that I make from my dumb garrisons and alts. But can I be screwed doing that a few hours a day now....dont think so.

The 10 year vetran is also giving Activision-Blizzard even more moneys than they would otherwise get with a normal subscription.

If the game isn't able to hold your interests any longer, why stay subscribed? That's giving them the Green-Light that everything is according to your tastes, especially if you give them even more money than they would usually get.

I'm not one to flat out tell people to unsubscribe; but damn, this 10 year veteran just gets so sad whenever people claim to be playing via Tokens as if they are sticking it to the Man Activision-Blizzard or something.

Lol sounds about right As for why stay subbed, well gold is easy to make and I would rather spend my gold on gametime than my real cash. Why do I keep playing, I play Arena because there is no other game like it. Its fun to beat people in Arena and win of course but I only do that 1 day a week to get cap than im bored again. lol Maybe its a habit.

You're removed from being a cow in a chute to put it bluntly.

Blizzard does a disservice to the player base in not allowing different interests to gear out at the same level, but pursuing their own interests.

It's one way or the highway.

Refocusing on the raids is a bandaid, it doesn't cure the underlying problem: people want to play, but they want to pursue their own interests and not be punished for doing so.

Things like making pet battles now so easy you can do it in your sleep. Before 6.1, it had the right amount of toughness with the right amount of reward for the effort. Why I was so glued to it at the time. Now it's been totally and absolutely cheapened. Blizzard doesn't know the word BALANCE, where there's just enough hardness to keep the activity interesting, but not so boring or too tough to have players go, "Meh, not interested".

We all want and seeking that level of balance, where it's not so easy yet not so difficult that it simply becomes frustrating to play.

It isn't just boring, it also feels weirdly unorganized and fragmented in ways that are super unfriendly to new players. Once you get to max level it's like "Collect crystals. . .bloods. . .resources. . .scraps. . .spirits. . ." and it isn't like in, say, WotLK where you would get some new thing to collect once you moved into a new area with new quests and a new rep to work on. This is just such a strange expansion. It feels like it went downhill in every way.

I have over 720 unique pets and 5000 pvp pet wins and am bored stiff of it now.
Please gives us something besides a raid next expansion.
It has killed all desire for me to gear my Alts.

Playing your alts should be the motive to play your alts, not some extra minigame. How old are you? Take a look into the mirror and think to yourself why you are spending your free time on something you clearly don't enjoy.

If you care about this game, and its obvious that you do, don't fall for the hype train.

Be rightfully skeptical of their announcements and check whether they're interacting with beta testers at all. If they aren't, and their design direction continues, please, please - if you love MMORPGs like I do, don't give them your money.


It's clear from your post that you're a guy who didn't lose interest in WoW, but Blizzard ended up losing interest in players like yourself and I.

I did and it isn't being a drama queen I am hoping the game I love and invested a lot of time in becomes playable again.
Seems like a waste to walk away but that is the only option blizz has left me with.
If you think the game is even in a good place now I would like for you to tell me how.

Yeah I remember that and when WOTLK gave us a great direction to what to start on when hitting max level. It was like, ah yes I gotta now go do this and that then I will catch up with my friends. WOD Leveing was awesome but once you reached 100 it was like wtf do I do, do I just have to grind this and that how boring. I skipped Cata and came back for MoP I like MoP over WOD but not a lot as of WOTLK.

Are you sure? Vannilla took ages, so did BC. Im not talking about the big raiders like Noxxic and stuff as they live 24/7 for Wow I mean 3 to 4 days a week 4 hours a day guilds. We had to balance life with Raiding haha.

We come back due to habit and hoping for something better. But I guess Wow wont get better at this rate in time. I am only back because I am using my gold to pay for my 1 day a week playtime. If I had to spend my real cash I would not be back.

The only way to gear and progress is to raid but then all that raiding burns one out of raiding.
It is a catch 22 add in the legendary ring and it is a horrible design.
One will need that damn ring for a pug to take them but who wants to do that multiple times.
Heck I got it on four toons and can't take it anymore.

lol that ring, I got it on my main and then could not me screwed getting it for my alts. But again everyone has it, wtf its a legendary aint that meant to mean its rare? I guess not since its so easy to get. BC you farmed months and hoped for them swords to drop for my rogue. There is no " OMG thats awesome" factor no more.
