    So a subreddit wanted to be clickish?

    I don't see the problem here.

    Ugh what? Something about AMA's, a women leaving/being removed from the admin staff, some people going ape and making their subsections private.. the thing is I can't logically connect the dots for it to make sense. Not that I care really, reddit was annoying as hell anyway.
    AMA = Ask me anything?
    I don't get the reaction to something of so little importance ..

    can't really be explained in a single meaningful sentence, the thread summarizes everything well imo.

    Well, you'd better try. Why should I—or anyone—click a link with no explanation provided?

    Im so confused. All I see are a bunch of forward slashes and random mixtures of upper and lower case letters. It's like I'm reading a different language.

    I assume AMA refers to Ask Me Anything but I'm guessing. I don't use Reddit much, though they've had some neat AMAs. (Obama, and Cary Elwes for instance)

    Not sure why you'd post something with just a link and not an explanation. If you want people to understand something, explaining it really, really helps. And a random link doesn't answer the "what does this mean" question, just fyi.

    The talent coordinator for /r/IAMA was fired. A lot of of mods for other subreddits are making their subreddits private in protest of the lack of communication between the administrators and the moderators.

    She verified the authenticity of people making AMA thread, set up AMAs, assisted people unfamiliar with reddit or computers in general with the process. IAMA is stands for "I am a .... ask me anything" where people with interesting stories, jobs and careers, famous people, or otherwise just interesting people can hold general question and answer thread with the reddit using public at large. Many actors and musicians have been making threads to promote new projects/movies/books/etc.

    Basically, the sole perosn who helps makes AMAs run smoothly either quit or was fired, and serves as a breaking point for overall unhappiness with how admins run reddit, so a bazillion other sub redits are also privatizing hoping to force the admins to do something.

    I mean reading isnt hard guys. Lazy people...

    I'm pretty sure that was a joke about the one moderator who mods all those subreddits.

    Off the top of my head, I remember they had one with Gabe Newell, and I'm pretty sure Robin Williams did one too.

    Jelly-spine syndrome ...

    jokes aside, most of it seems to be a reaction of mods feeling they deserve more interaction or attention (maybe they do) from the admins. Everything going private is kind of a protest to underline that. The trigger is still hilarious to me though.
