Socrethar and Melee DPS

Is Socrethar supposed to target Melee with his Felblaze Charge ability? I had assumed it would be only ranged, but on our pulls (and thankfully kill) on the encounter Monday, he targeted melee quite a number of times with the ability, which leaves the Felblaze trail in places we really don't want it.

You are able to move while he casts charge. Simply get the targeted person to move to aim it in a different direction, which as melee is quite easy.

Yes, it's supposed to target melee. Your positioning will depend on your strategy for Reverberating Blow. We use our tanks to solo soak them, and here is our positioning:

On reverberating blow, If two people stand in the blow and one is closer then the other. They will get 2 stacks and the further away will get 1 stack. Now, you will notice, this allows for an interesting bit of work for your melee.

Tank --- Rogue --- Socrothar.... Tank get 1 stack, Rogue (who hit feint) gets 2 stacks.... continue

And yes, he will charge a melee, simply target it away from everything else and move once he charges.
