Just add a peram death server

Simple, add perma death, no special anything or blizzard support, no transfer to or from just perma death. When you die you are deleted instantly, tho maybe allow your bank to remain. With the huge gap left for the next xpac im sure there are lots that would enjoy it. Would be interesting to see how far guilds can push content and such. Sure would have huge excitement while playing, the fear of death, taking encounters sooo serious like you never would have before. Gear would take on a new meaning and status symbols

Thats stupid. WoW doesn't support it in anyway, shape or form and it shouldn't.

would this be a PvP server? because GL getting anywhere when knowing when you kill someone you kill them forever, every hardcore PVPer will drool over the chance to make some PvE carebear cry.

    Uh, no.

WoW isn't that kind of game. It can't support something like this. There are no guilds in the world that can complete any raid tier, even the first boss, without someone dying. The time wasted - the money wasted - and then the more time wasted to re-level someone makes this idea utterly terrible.

Perma-death server, you say? Awesome, I know how to ruin this for everyone.

Step 1.) Get a group of friends together.
Step 2.) Purchase level boosts and then power level to 100 and the best gear we can get in a short amount of time.
Step 3.) Proceed to gank people who are leveling up in leveling zones and on the early zones of Draenor.

Done! Your perma-death server is now a haven of scum and villainy where only a tiny amount of people get any enjoyment from it, while everyone else becomes increasingly frustrated and quits the game because they make no progress. Awesome!

To echo so many people on other topics: If you dont want to, then don't play it!

Sure I'd give it a go.

Tried that in other games. PVE players don't go there. Hardcore PVP'rs stop playing after they lose their characters. Servers are dominated by stealth classes who only appear when it's a sure fire win. People hide in towns and instances and the population drops until it's a ghost town.

Plus, unless you have friends your healers could screw you over by saying sorry I lagged and you get to start over.

As someone who has participated in the Iron Man Challenges we've had over the years, I'd enjoy a server like this... it might actually get me to play again.

Wouldn't play it. I would however play something similar like this; A timed event, something like cutthroat league in Path of Exile. Preferably with grouping disabled, so that even people playing together are at the risk of dying. Stranglethorn mythic or something like that

    No, just no.

Would possibly work if the gameplay was modified to support such a system. The leveling experience would need to be sped way up (or just allow everyone to start at 90), PvP would need to be an exception or disabled, and item drop rates would need to be vastly increased (and a majority of items should be turned BoE - including raid drops). I don't think a "hardcore" server would work well with how much time investment goes into a character at the moment, but that could easily be adjusted.

If by "lots" you mean two people than maybe.

LMAO people are causing a shitfest over the Shipyard killing your ships permanently if you don't counter a mission effectively, you think people can handle their characters perma dying? Good joke. Also WoW or basicly no current mmo supports that for that matter, go play some of those Survival games.

    ^this....

If you wanna stay dead when you die, go play the Ironman challenge. You might even alter all the requirements to your liking, except for remaining dead when dead..

As we see, people are still at it..

    Dungeons would be brutal.

And what exactly would be the point of such a server? No one would do battlegrounds or arenas, no one would do any form of relevant pve. Garrison heroes: the overly impaired edition?

  19. #19
Yeah this wouldn't work in WoW. It just isn't built to be that sort of game. Ironman challenges are good though.

What a great idea, waste tons of money just to increase the volume of tickets and forum complaining a few hundred times over. The sub base definitely know better
