hello everyone, i would like to say at first that you have to ignore any grammar included.

we were in a discussion how we should use the ring especially in fights like iskar (myth). as we does the math everyone should be able to explode on adds for like ... 30k? or is it more like melee dps trinket that absorbs your dmg and explodes for xxx + 100% (ring) to every Single(!) target which is in range to you so it would be instead of 30k ... 300k per target.

My understanding is more targets equals more split damage. The damage doesn't multiply for each target.

In the 15s you deal increased damage (+25% on with ilvl 735) on the adds and after 15s, there is an AoE explosion from initial user dealing 25% of your total damage dealt in the 15s before which is split among all targets.

Example:
• Without the ring, you would have dealt 800k damage in 15s
• With the ring, your damage would be 800k*1.25 = 1M in 15s
• When the buff expires, you deal 1M*0,25 = 250k to all enemies in total (125k on each with 2 targets, 83,333 on 3 targets, 62,5k on 4 targets etc.)

The explosion damage is split, but AoE dps is always higher than single target DPS, so you'll get a bigger burst out of it by using it during AoE instead of single target just because you'll do more damage during the effect.

1) So the Explosion goes off only from that one who activates the ring?
2) the place, where he activates the ring? or the place, where he is Standing after the 15 sec.?
3) So will it be smarter if a Melee activates it all the time?

2) is not true, the explosion is 20yds around the player, wherever he is standing when the explosion proccs - activation place has nothing to do with it

There are alsow encounter where you can smar abuse ring like Kormok or Socrethar , use ring on hands on Kormorok or on Socrethar use ing , go heavy AoE ghosts and then explode all that damage in to boss
