Do you Honestly Care who becomes President in 2016?

Not American but I still care as it affect the entire world, so far the candidates scares me. Swedens election I care but our current prime minister is a fool so for the next election it can't really get worse

I'm consistently pounded with the "vote your interests" message by my liberal friends (which I happen to think is a childish and narcissistic message, but I'll play along for a moment) - my interests are presently best served by a leveling off in the spiking of spending.

Then there isn't a party in line with your interests.

Individuals aren't "they". Many Republicans are simply terrible on spending, no doubt about that. Some seem to genuinely comprehend that we're headed for multiple crises on fiscal issues, particularly government retirements and disability. I am, of course, not enthusiastic about most Republicans on these issues as they're so deeply unserious, but I'm even less enthusiastic about Democrat candidates that will defend these future outlays to the death.

Individuals do not really matter when it comes to the US government. Any given plan that a not despicable Republican puts forward is going to be tainted by his party members.
